i read your (and probably other) posts in praise of the santa claus line (there's still no excuse for adding the e...unless you're a jew!) and thought people actually found it hilariously witty. and then i second guessed myself in thinking it was supposed to be hilariously witty. and then got angry cuz it clearly was not. the situation isn't one to normally sound like an idiot (like most everybody else) but obviously this time he did. the moment of potential hilarity is now gone for me...tear.

and now i've wasted too much of a saturday defending my stupidiy on 2+2!

Sitch's Santa Claus is dead line was ****ing great! ESPECIALLY the way he said it. We don't need our beloved reality show character speaking perfect English. It's funny because of the way he said it.. not what he said.

Pretty sure you have this backwards. It's only funny because we're laughing at how much of an idiot he is. I think its great that MTV has gone back to trying to make us laugh at him, he's still really annoying this season though.

ummm no, he actually seems like one of the smarter ones in the house and conscious of how to use his image. i think your opinion of him is in the minority considering he's clearly the star of this show and it's not because of everyone thinking he's an idiot and annoying. if people were laughing "at" him about anything in season 1 it was laughing at how over the top and egotistical he is. this season though considering he's a millionaire, celebrity, and getting unlimited punani, he actually has the goods to back up the ego -- thus the reason you feel for "some reason" people are laughing "with" him this season rather than at him.

I dont know why Vinnie is getting so much love after this episode, IMO he went down in my eyes, he has the balls to call out Angelina and talk trash to her, then he follows it up by making out with her then having sex with her later in the night. It would have been much better of him to diss her in front on everyone, shes not at all pretty enough to even want to have a one night stand with

Snooki is arguably the bigger star of S1 (bigger money per ep, only cast member with own wikipedia page etc) and those are her two primary qualities too. It doesn't preclude either from being the star.

And not really. At the end of the day he's still a guy who nicknamed his own abs and probably owns stock in Ed Hardy. S1 was definitely about laughing at all of the cast, as someone correctly noted earlier in the thread its a modern day minstrel show. A lot of the clips and sound bites were made to have us laugh at how dumb each cast member was. And getting lots of pussy because you're rich and famous basically go hand in hand, its not an indicator of anything (other than that you're probably rich or famous), by that same reasoning does David Spade stop being a complete tool because of it?

some people are saying lol vinny after this episode but i think its more like lol angelina. She was probably doggin him even more saying that she doesnt understand any girl that would even kiss him. my favorite part was her saying that he only bangs skanks and grenades, then she bangs him, hence calling herself a skank and grenade.

i thought it was pretty clear Angelina said that stuff because she was jealous and wanted him the whole time.

Yea I had a buddy over who never watches Jersey Shore but when he saw them fighting and then Angelina making fun of the hot club girl, he was instantly like "she wants him for sure".
