2. The Situation - quiet this week, but whatever, usually brings it
3. Pauly D - not getting the love on him, sure he's making some ok jokes, but he's been in the background a lot (like Vinnie last year)

oh, and anyone else notice how they cut together than scene where Vinnie and Angelina were fighting in the living room? scene starts with Vinnie laying on the chair with some white slippers on talking about Angelina or whatever, cuts to her/others, then he's wearing some dark coloured shoes, then the slippers or white socks again, then the shoes again, back-and-forth, back-and-forth...

helped confirm my suspicions about how this show is cut together like all the rest of them. i mean i was wondering last week with The Situation and that girl, when he took time to eat and have a smoke, etc before getting with her, then sending her out to the taxi. obviously they wanted us to think it all happened in that order, and over an hour or two period maybe, but i highly doubt that.

if i cared more i'd point out some other examples, maybe someone smarter (one of our resident TV experts) or better at watching TV wants to take a shot...

of course this show is heavily edited, just like every other MTV "reality" show.

i wouldn't limit it to MTV. i think every "reality" TV show is created, literally, in the same manner. just kinda sucks that they don't think it's interesting enough on its own that they have to cut & paste to manufacture a watchable show.

yeah, I think they started heavily editing these shows around real world 5 or 6 or something, in order to generate better ratings and it has carried over to every reality show they do. Other stations do the same. Thats why I've stopped being overly judgmental of people on these shows since we never see anything remotely close to their real personality. We just see what makes for good TV. However, even with all the editing, there does seem to be a fairly clear poor image of sammi, ronny, and angelina.

lol, vinny shows up one day and all of a sudden he's on top of the rankings? for what, talking **** to angelina (which everyone does)? banging a hot girl (which is not rare for the other guys)? banging snookie (puke)? banging angelina (.....)?

i mean, at least he's making the final cut these days, but he's still a very distant 3rd iyam. he gets laid on his own and he's a cult hero.

Just pointing out again that there is a giant difference between editing to make things appear one way and the producers actually telling them to do stuff and arranging it. It's like 95%/5%.

And there is just as much effort if not more that goes into casting than the actual production. It's not really a luckbox.

God Sammie is a pathetic bitch and the Sitch is right, Ronnie makes her look stupid and all her hate gets directed at JWOWW and Snooki which makes no sense and Ron comes out squeaky clean. Oh and Angelina needs to *****.

Vinnie should be getting no love considering he's hooked up with Snooki and then really initiated the hooking up with Angelina given that he dogged her so much. I mean, I'd bang Angelina too, but he looks pretty stupid given all the **** he talked before hand.

I actually think Ronnie is moving up the rankings, mostly by default I suppose and Sammi was pretty funny since I hate Jenni.

I don't get why you guys think Vinnie is the man and Ronnie is a chump. Ronnie bangs two chicks every night. First he bangs some random slut then he bangs Sammie. Then the midget girl writes a letter to Sammi and Ronnie is busted. except he's not. Sammi loves him more than ever and Ronnie can go back to being Ronnie.

Vinnie on the other hand, by all accounts, needs serious wingman help to get laid. Then, since he can't find a chick at the club he bangs the biggest slut in the eastern time zone that he happens to live with. That is the very definition of low hanging fruit. and you clowns think he's the man.

By any objective standard you have to put Ronnie above Vinnie in any power ranking.

It seems like the big issue is that he kissed some skanks and motor-boated a waitress, even the stupid letter lists this as his most egregious transgression. Its actually a little weird how much of a big deal everyone on the show is making out of it if this is all he did.

Well according to most in the house Vinnie hooked up the most in Season 1, but managed to keep it away from the cameras.

Also Sammi going on about how she is ready to fight anytime now was tilting. She got a decent shot in and now thinks shes Tyson, it was clear that she was in trouble until Ronnie stepped in and others held JWOWW. She even yelled at Ronnie "So you gonna hold me so your girl can get some shots in?" Plus seems like Ronnie is unstable enough to hit a girl.

Sammi though reminds me of the Mir vs Lesnar 1 luckbox, and the aftermath of trash talk that came from Mir.

When people do this I usually assume they are just talking about their power rankings for that particular episode -- surely people aren't claiming someone else is #1 besides situation in the power rankings collectively for both seasons in terms of added value to the show? Just wondering since other comments people are seemingly interpreting it as though peoples power rankings are now for their overall order from both seasons.

Yeah, this is all also very results oriented too because its dependent on what MTV actually decides to show. Anyone that thinks Pauly D and Situation aren't (at least now) pulling girls hotter than what Vinny pulled are rather naive. But yeah, Vinny's now finally contributing to the show something... good for him, still not ahead of pauly/sitch.

Yeah but most people basically put Ronnie near the bottom just through default association with Sammie. All the value he adds to the show is outweigh'd by all the arguing and scenes with Sammi.
