Whoever said earlier in this thread that Ronnie probably saw himself look like a tool in Season 1 and decided to act like a douche this season to fix his image was spot on. In the aftershow Ronnie explicitly confirmed that he came into Season 2 with an agenda to hurt Sammi's feelings and sleep around.

Also, seen as in most scenes in the gelato shop, they're not doing any work whatsoever and usually not even wearing the uniform, it seems the genius in the job is

A)forces members of the cast to interact with each when they usually wouldn't because of cliques
B)gets Sam the f out of bed every once in a while

I decided to go back and compile the power rankings posted in this thread throughout the season and plot the progression of each cast member's average rank after each episode airs. It's hardly scientific, as the sample is small and nowhere near steady (except TexArcher, who posted every week). Also, there was basically no sample for after the first episode, so I started at 2. Anyway, it didn't turn out as interesting as I'd hoped, but here it is anyway:

x-axis is episode, y-axis is average rank after that episode aired

No need for that, man. The Jersey Shore thread should be a happy thread. Even the "pros" are mostly hour-a-week viewers. The ones who go above and beyond the call of duty to do some research and post outside links get applauded by the rest of the weekly viewers. The show does not deserve snarkiness or pretentiousness about knowledge about it.

I read the Sitch article and saw that Sammi article link, but it's over a week old so I figure it had to have been posted by now.

Besides, she'd have to be pretty stupid to get off this gravy train because unless she gets into porn this is likely by far the most money she'll ever make so she really needs to milk it as much as possible.
