"ITS ABOVE THE KNEE! SHE CAN STILL WALK!"
I've been rewatching some episodes on Netflix recently. I get so nostalgic. Personally, Season 4 has 3 of my favorite all time 24 moments - including my absolute #1 which is
-Tony saving Jack and Audrey in Season 4. They are collecting some data when they get ambushed, and Jack knows CTU has been compromised because the bad guys knew they were there. He makes a call to "the only person he can trust" They try to get out, but run into more hostiles, and Jack runs out of ammo. He's a sitting duck, holding his empty pistol while two hostiles round the corner with automatic weapons....but suddenly they are shot and their bodies fall to reveal... TONY!! "JACK!?!?" "TONY!?!?". I get goosebumps just typing about it. GOAT 24 moment.
-Jack stopping Heller's execution. He goes in rogue after the president orders a strike on the building to prevent Heller's execution from being televised. Jack's interaction with CTU director Erin Driscoll goes something like this -
"How much time do I have?"
"Just under 6 minutes"
"How many hostiles"
"Thermal scanners count 16"
"*growls* I'm not turning back"
Saves everybody. Amazing.
-Jack and Paul Raines intentionally engage in a firefight with a full SWAT team of mercenaries using a local gun store owned by two civilians as home base. They have to do this because some corrupt company detonated an EMP so CTU can't find them - unless Jack is smart enough to start a firefight intentionally. Tony predicted that he would be brazen enough to do this, but an untrusting Michelle Dessler (no doubt biased against Tony because of his alcohol problems that derailed their once happy relationship) refused to position CTU teams based on Tony's advice. Despite this, Jack and a one-handed Paul Raines fight off the mercenaries. At the end, a thought to be dead hostile picks up a gun and fires at Jack, but Raines jumps in front of the bullet. "I owed you, Jack"
