I'm not sure what's more exciting... the new season...or the upcoming marathon of 8 seasons to refresh myself.

i just finished re-watching all 8 seasons. they're all still amazing!

and Spring 2014 isn't too far away... that's a lot sooner than I thought it would be... very excited.

i'm re-watching all of breaking bad ATM to get ready for the new season.

just finished with 2 and 7 (skipping around), probably gonna do 4 and 5 next, then skim 1, lol 6, transition to GOAT season and GOAT 24 villain (3, Stephen Saunders), then hopefully finish up 8 right as the new season is approaching.

hope they Free Mandy for the new season.

I hope Live Another Day starts with some scene where Jack is just chilling out at home and has loads of time to kill. It'd be hilarious to see him just lounging on the sofa reading old comic books.

Finally finished the series yesterday. 8 was def the weakest season imo. Lol @ Freddie Prinze Jr.'s NY accent all season. Brutal.

So who will the President of the US be in LAD? 24 put forth the 1st black president and the 1st woman, so what statement will they try to make next? Maybe an Asian? Someone in their 20s?

season 8 is underrated. it's pretty good. chloe is great in it. so is renee walker. the middle east president's cowardly little brother is hilarious. sleazy president logan is fantastic. when jack puts on the body armor that is one of the best scenes in tv history. the end is great too.

one of the greatest things about the show though is how jack saves the world over and over and over and is always right, but no one listens to him!!! lol!! "oh yeah you were right the last 87465 times, but this time you don't know what you're talking about" so they handcuff him and arrest him lol!

6 is worst season to me

I'd watch a twelve episode, 24 style, Air Force One type season of TV, with Jack in the Harrison Ford role. Considering movies like olympus has fallen and white house down, I doubt we see Jack Bauer as the president. It would be nice for once to see Jack Bauer not have to answer to anyone.

I read an interview with Howard Gordon recently where he talked about how they always joked going into each season that they had twelve episodes full of really top quality material prepared, and then twelve episodes to fill out the season, and the twelve crappy ones always used to come at the end because by then they'd tied themselves in too many knots trying to come up with tension-filled situations.

Personally, I think a 12-episode format where they time-jump a little bit and give themselves a little bit of freedom to work outside of the rigid format they had before might bring the best out of the show - if the latter half of season two of Homeland is anything to go by, Howard Gordon has been aching to get back to writing 24 storylines anyway.

Lol, yea I've always found that kind of amusing, that instead of just shooting to wound Jack delivers a ruthless kill shot.

Season 8 Logan is indeed GOAT, Itzin delivered on every level.

The President Taylor storyline and some CTU stuff is what made Season 8 aidsy at certain points; Logan's contribution, Jack going HAM from the moment Renee is killed, and the final scene with Chloe were all great.

the way to watch 24 is just skip over the lame story lines
