It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Season 6 It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Season 6

I'm pretty sure it was; although it wasn't shot-for-shot, lots of stuff like the canopy bed and the candles and music echoed The Room.

Just watched the last three episodes in a row again last night. They're clearly the best of the season, and each one is better than the last.

LW5 saved the episode, absolutely hilarious.

re-watched, seriously frank killed in that episode. literally every minute he was on-screen i was laughing. yeah that sex scene def spoofed 'The Room' the worst movie ever (though hilarious to watch with the rifftrax.com MST3K audio sync). mac's danny glover blackface had me dieing. frank saying "the problem is what color shoe polish are we gunna go with?" and mac/dennis reacting with a "whoa!"

LW5 movie was excellent. This season needs to make more humor like this, even if they're risks that fail, if it means harping off their old jokes and characters over-the-top. Frank's reactions to the sex scene when he's watching are the stone cold nuts of comedy.

Also perfect juggalo character casting

ep4 was great, 3 was good, first two kinda sucked.
(still catching up)
"and this asfalt... thats not regulation" was a line I didnt see in the thread back then.

but I think people should post 'next week' previews in spoiler tags.

I loved the stunt double for Frank that looked nothing like him.

LW5 was great. That scene with Dennis trying to blow out the candle and them just editing it was so funny.

Even though Dee is the least entertaining character on this show the Dee-centric eps have all been hilarious, i.e this one, heartattack,******.

Although I was a bit disappointed with the ending of this episode, they could have had some fun with the students reaction to the film and their view on the blackface issue.

I thought the episode was funny but I wasn't to much of a fan of LW5.

I've always found Dee funny and was surprised she got quite a bit of hate.. but I do fear that post-baby Dee will suck.

imo:
1 "Who Got Dee Pregnant?"
2 "Dee Reynolds: Shaping America's Youth"
3 "The Gang Buys a Boat"
4 "Mac's Big Break"
5 "The Gang Gets a New Member"
6 "Mac's Mom Burns Her House Down"
7 "Mac and Charlie: White Trash"
8 "Mac Fights Gay Marriage"
9 "Dennis Gets Divorced"

"There was no time for an ocular patdown"

Dunno why I liked Mac's big break, it wasn't terribly original or anything (idea about radioshow makes me cringe but it was funny imo) but the simple fact is that I laughed a good amount while watching with it.
"Dude, when you pack on mass, you sacrifice flexibility.. thats just a straight up fact"

Gang buys a boat is good too ( bc of the implications!)

Finally a great episode!

This ranks up there with best episodes of all time!

Dennis playing Murtough and deciding on his birthday wish was unreal but nothing nothing outdoes the stunt double they used for danny devito for jumping on the hood of a car!!! I couldn't help but think they did that as a joke for that "stunt". Tons of cringeworth moments with the principle and all but lets all get on the same page, we're still debating what shoe polish color to use right?

A +++++

Looking at the list of episodes reminds me how much I loved parts of this season. With time I think it could be up there with the rest of them...I mean cmon...

"Fringe class"....I don't know whether this was a phrase before sunny but I've used it a ton since that White Trash ep...

"i borrowed that guy's towel for a bite of my hot dog. [fat guy reclining by the pool] ... fringe class style!"

+1, the shoe polish frankism made that episode imo.

i actually wouldn't mind dee and charlie at a school if it lead to quality episode storylines for a multi-ep arc, gang gets a new memeber was meh but this was great. Frank's best episode by far this season

Is it possible to explain the fringe class (to a non english native speaker)? or is there nothing to get if you dont know the word?

Character with a dead tooth who 'kept it as a conversation piece' on Raising Hope tonight admitted she got it removed because she saw Maureen Ponderosa on IASIP. Kinda cool.

basically it's lower-class, poor people on the margins of society, although in this case it's used as a derogatory term by the gang

k thx

I'm actually surprised nobody mentioned this scene:

was the only moment in that episode that actually made me laugh out loud.
(I guess you could call it predictable?? but I got caught off guard anyways)

I'd look at 'fringe class' as low class, shady, with confidence. Low-life but not necessarily in an ethical sense (although I imagine that happens as well)

"Yeah we broke the watermelon and ate it so they're gonna grease me up....I'm going to be the watermelon."

Barters of low value without much hesitation take place in the fringe class.
