FJ: AMERICAN HISTORY - While performing in Philadelphia, the future father of this man sent a letter threatening to slit Andrew Jackson’s throat.

Second guesses....George HW Bush. The wager?

$12,798

Third is correct and gets bumped to second. An incredible one-two punch of terribleness
It’s an atrocious guess... Oz was like “Sorry no, George Bush way too young to be correct” and she tried to justify it by saying “Well HW Bush...” And I feel like she was kind of serious. No no no, not GWB, his DAD

Had to look it up just to see if there was some wacky situation where their lives at least overlapped by a couple years or something. Jackson died 1845, Prescott Bush born 1895.

Interestingly they didn’t do this for “Focker” for the meet the fockers question today

Yep, completely expected that when I read the clue. Seemed like the contestant made sure to enunciate the "oe" sound.

I don't think they would even use a clue where they would have to beep out any not totally mispronounced correct response.

For that reason, I doubt they would have a clue where Schitt's Creek is actually the correct response?

I bet you're right, madlex.

I wonder if they're ever had to edit out a response or reaction. Like maybe somebody missed an answer or misunderstood a clue, and in frustration said "Damn it!" or something.

I could see myself doing that. Good thing I'll never qualify for the show.

Loved the champ's FJ guess of "What is FedEx" when she knew she had no idea of the correct answer, and props to Oz for understanding why she chose that answer.

Again strictly based on knowledge gained from the book, they can reshoot scenes during the commercial breaks.

Once was funny. Wasn't that amused when she did it the second time.

Seems as if I saw "Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen?" a few years back. Pretty sure I'm not thinking of the Cheers episode, but it could be.

That one would easily be my go to answer if I were stumped in FJ. But I wouldn't try to use it twice.

I do think someone copied Cliffy for a laugh a few years back.

Found references to it, somebody named Elizabeth Williams in 2014, apparently.

I wonder how many people got the "Who wanted to kick that field goal?" FJ response?

Based on how that football category went a couple years ago, Jeopardy people aren't that much into football..

Didn’t mind Rodgers, but being a hardcore sports/NFL fan it was a bit weird
He kind of has a semi monotone delivery though...

Ken > Oz > Rodger > Katie ATM

Scores going into FJ today:
18200
16800
13600

There are a couple things that first can do here. Other than betting it all, there’s one more thing he should never do: betting anything between 1399 and 9001. He decided to bet 2800. Maybe he used a randomizer to get to that number?

Also quite funny that there was a triple stumper on a question about the Packers.

Oh, yeah, Kurn, that was funny.

At this point, I'd say that Rodgers is the least polished, not being a TV pro (but improving rapidly), but has had the best interactions with the contestants.

Legitimate option as a full-time host someday. But I think it will be Ken.

I stand firm on my opinion that the guest hosts (Ken included) are not auditioning for the permanent job, and that they already have picked the next permanent host.

I told my wife that its likely not to be a celebrity but somebody who has years of broadcasting experience at the local level or something.

While my money is on LeVar Burton (literally, at 9:1), I wouldn't be surprised if you are correct.

Another name that keeps creeping into my head is Meredith Vieira, if for no other reason than she would've been a great guest host, but she's noticeably absent from that roster.

And for the record, if one of the guest hosts is the new permanent host and I'm proven wrong, I fully expect to be mocked ruthlessly, and I'm 100% OK with that fate.
