I know that because I speak (not very well) German. Most US native English speakers don't know that, nor should it be expected.

Even thinking that the difference should be known by a contestant, to most viewers it would be look like being penalized for a spelling error.

Yeah, its hit me real hard. Aside from you he was the one I was most looking forward to seeing in the ToC.

According to this article, he passed away after complications from surgery. Recent champ Zach Newkirk said that Brayden had mentioned some health issues he was dealing with. Feel so awful for his family

Thanks for that update. No idea if it was a serious condition that required the surgery or not. Seems routine but complications due happen. Way back in the day my little league double play partner lost his Mom during a routine surgery. Like she didn’t wake up. He wasn’t the same and then one day they just moved away.

Losing a child is a horrible club to belong to. His poor parents.

Middle lady’s fun-fact-story was she went to NYC in part of a program... made zero friends, and would ride the subway alone. And the scariest moment of her life was getting lost in Jamaica Queens.

Seems like a silly thing to get worked up over. It's more sad that the most interesting anecdote she could come up about her life is that she missed her subway stop once.

Unless they fabricated the story after the fact when they already knew Mike Richard's episodes weren't that great, there's only one reason for him as a guest host: They needed to film and nobody else with hosting experience was available due to travel restrictions and scheduling conflicts.

They really deserved to lose that close one to Ken a couple weeks ago or whenever it was. They were rolling, and then two questions in a row they all stood there for 8 seconds instead of just ringing in and passing. Then failed to knock him back twice.
