Ding-a-ling Alex (the contestant) got what deserved with that $5 DD bet.

Can't stand the champ, but hated Alex more by the end. (Her $500 FJ wager was ridiculous as well, she had room to cover 3rd AND still be above Alex lockout wager miss).

In fact, the perfect ending would have been a double get by 2nd and 3rd.

^^ today was one of those situations where while #1 and #2 were obnoxious, you're just praying for #3 to lose. First clue: guy with long french name is put to death in this newly invented way in 179x. Her guess: the electric chair. Wow.

it's incomprehensible to me that no one guessed hitler.
I mean I guess I just auto knew it cuz of band of brothers, but how on earth can you guess Stalin and Churchill (lol do they not know FDR died before the end of WWII???) and just no words to express the Truman guess.

just unreal the stuff they know/ don't know.

I've missed a ton of episodes, got a couple questions:

What was the FJ question with the 6 letters, and what was the one that Hitler was the answer to?

re: Hitler. World Leaders. This leader was in power from 34 days before FDR to 18 days after him. Something like that.

Something about Agetha Christy and multiple entries. Murder

Sent from my ADR6425LVW using 2+2 Forums

When will we see player 3 on the kids tourney?

At least champ realized she was luckboxing and her only chance was to go big on the DD in a category she liked. Thought she was going to become one of the least likely 3-time champs when I read the easy FJ.

I take this back. This was the worst 3 contestants in the history of this show. I wished they would all lose, after about 5 questions in.

Pretty impressive back to back wild ass guesses by the former champ, Truman yesterday and Anchorage ****ing Alaska today. Apparently she knows her painters though. At least she made an interesting wager in FJ

And yes, 18-49 was incredible.

I'm just hear to register my disgust with tonight's FJ question, what a ****ing awful two parter. Either one on its own would have been tough enough, asking for both of them was horrendously unfair.

You have to be an extreme sports nut to know David Blatt. I knew him, but there's no chance your average Jeopardy contestant does. Had no clue on the other one. Said "Blatche" on a whim.

what's the 18-49 thing you guys are talking about btw?

Yeah, it took me almost the full 30 seconds to come up with Blatt, then just blurted out Bat for the second name. Doubt I would have had enough time to write it down if I'd been on stage anyways, not that Bat was right. That is just a completely nasty parlay to mix relatively obscure sports and politics like that. FFS, Blatt hasn't coached a game yet, and Brat hasn't even won his general election, asking for either name would have been a fairly challenging question, asking for both is just the writers saying **** you, we want a triple stumper 90+% of the time.

It was something like 'This 31 year age range is television's most prized demographic'. Then they proceeded to make two guesses of 18-30 and 18-40 or something similar, obv neither of which are 31 years (and incidentally, as someone on jboard pointed out, 18-49 is actually a 32 year range, but **** it)

what a crapstorm of players the past few games.

Everyone else in Kate's house must be an idiot (she's undefeated at home), AND she didnt even try to win in FJ.

the players seem to be getting worse and worse. esp when it comes to wagering (tho I was pleasantly surprised when the chick did a true daily double with 10K).
I really think if you let roger back on as a regular contestant he might never lose.

TV advertisers' coveted age group is this 31-year span

Answers given "what is 18-34", "What is 18-40" 3rd person doesn't ring in.

I didn't catch it until reading Dudds post, but It definitely is a 32 year span.

Yeah, but the Jeopardy! writers aren't big enough math nits to write the clue that way.

yep, very very tough. FJ clues have blown recently. in hindsight i can of course see how you would plausibly work out the HIMYM answer, but it's a stretch. too many questions involving a zero chance of deduction.

contestants have also blown. i think about 8 eps ago the leader in FJ didn't wager enough to cover 2nd but no one in the thread mentioned it. the woman who won 2 was awful. i love it when alex decides someone sucks and just ribs them mercilessly.

lastly, the new DD graphics are awful.

Getting repititious with all the bad wagers.

Last season was generally awesome, this season is the lamest memory.
