Idiotic Jeopardy wagers (no spoilers before 6 EST) - Page 520

One of the teens (or former teens I guess) said tonight in her about me that she had an "old soul" because she collects CDs and DVDs, so I might just have to walk into the snow we just got in New England and never come back out.

At the end of the day we're just people from the 1900's..

Champ gets lucky again. Woman on the end bets big but not big enough on all the DDs (and gets them right), then heads up on FJ massively overbets and loses a WW.

Painful overbet after a slew of underbets. I really found the last DD wager odd. Large enough to put her completely out of it if missed, but small enough to not take the lead going int FJ!... My partner pointed out that she'd have lost if she took the lead anyway given that it was WW and the champ seems math-inclined enough to know how to bet it correctly.

Leader gets last question of DJ that is the second daily double. Only risks 3K instead of 3,500 which would have made her uncatchable in FJ. Luckily she got FJ right or would have lost and felt like an idiot.

I'll say that's the only piece of feedback I'd give ken. OPTAH on DD wagering, not "you can take first place if you want" or whatever.

When watching the other night, I had one of those creepy feelings "She's going to be $3K cause it's a nice round number instead of gong for the shutout." Sure enough.

Shortly after that, she finds the last DD. I'm not sure, but I don't think there was enough money left on the board to deny her a lock game, but she bets 10,000 and misses, bringing both opponents in range, then loses to the champ when she is wrong on FJ.

Thank you. She could've bet small and preserved the lock.

One part of me respects "go big or go home", but when you already have actual money locked up, save that attitude for the next game.
