I'm not an electrician so I hope someone more knowledgeable pipes in, but as I understand it, it's a "Nominal" vs. "Actual" thing, Like lumber commonly referred to as a 2*4 is actually 1 1/2" * 3 1/2".

With 240 V power, we are usually talking about 3 phase alternating current. Each phase will peak at 240 V, but the steady stream of power output coming down the line of all 3 phases combined at any point in time is 220V.

Um, guy hits DD on Tuesday down 5400 on what turned out to be the final clue of DJ, wagered 5000. They both got FJ and woman gifted a third win and big payday. Of course, after the wagering gaffe he just shipped FJ. Lolmen

I like how he just shoved FJ. They were so close he had room to coverbet 3rd and still be ahead of first if they both miss (and wins if 3rd overbets, which she did).

I wonder if he even realizes that he made a mistake at all and just thinks wow I was so close to winning so unlucky . So many poker players do the same thing thinking the cards didn't run kindly after making a horrendous play.

Very weird, since she knew (and first place new) that her $800 get as time expired prevented a runway (21,600 vs 10,400 and she improved to 11,200).

Somehow our librarian, Chrissy, wagers only $5000 on FJ.

16400 Standard cover bets
13400 3001 ideal? No more than 5199-but wagers 6000
8200 2198, when 2000 seems ideal-or stand pat assuming 2nd overbets

At least some non-shove wagers. 3rd is actually pretty decent though I like to assume 2nd shoves in this spot.

2nd overbet and could have cost him. No way he should wager enough to drop below 3rd.

Did anything else weird happen for anyone tonight? We watched a whole episode with three people including a really weird guy in the middle who didnt make it to final and signed his name with a diamond. Alex gave the final category of US Landmarks, when they came back from commercial, the final categor was TV dramas, and the champ had two different opponents. She won and said she had a two day total.

My dvr doesnt go back to the beginning so I dont know how many days champ it said she was at the beginning. Really really weird.

I saw a whole episode with the players who participated in the TV dramas FJ, with the champ from the previous day winning again. Thought The Sopranos was super easy, but the challengers apparently didn't agree.

He actually seemed pretty knowledgeable, though. He seemed to be ringing in all the time and just got dominated on the buzzer. The Statue of Liberty FJ was one of the only times I've thought that's just so obvious that maybe it's something else.
