Meh indeed.

Girls talk to each other about sex is some lazy cliched trite.

In terms of the search for the mom, the encounter with Zoey was the first suffer from a hole the show dig for itself in the first ep of the season, namely that we immediately know any girl Ted meets not at the wedding is not the mom.

the contrast between some of the epic time shifting story telling of earlier seasons and the laziness of barney just saying "boobs?" makes me wonder if i'll ever truly enjoy an episode again.

It's sad. Last season sucked and it really seemed like they just weren't trying. Now it sucks but it seems like they're actually trying to make a good show again. They're just completely failing.

This. It's like watching a rock band who was awesome in the '70s or something go on a reunion tour and try to rock out again. But you end up just seeing a bunch of 55 year-old men trudging slowly through some songs that sound sort of like something that was cool once.

I'm 4 minutes in and so far we have "I can't design the building because of bla bla" and "new is always better"? So brutal =/

I thought this was the best episode of the season. NPH was so good. "I don't recall saying snakes", Jumbo Jim's grape scotch, call back with the scene in the rented chair, Mr. cottontail. The other aspects of the episode weren't as good. Ted/Morrison was ok but the sex talk subplot was lame and cliched. Although the locker room portrayal was good. Really funny stuff overall.

started watching this show two or three eps ago because someone told me i reminded them of ted. it's worth it to start from the beginning i assume?

lol i think he was referring more to the way i look, as the dude was drunk and doesn't know me (and later clarified that he was referring to the way i look). but in all honesty douche and whipped sounds like me too. maybe he was on to something.

Surprised to see some hate for this episode. I thought last week's (last week was the god-awful trying-to-be-epic race episode, right?) was terrible, but this one had a lot of funny material. Not bad at all, and "not bad at all" is a big step up for this season.
