I watched ep1 of season 1 3 weeks ago and have watched 30 episodes since; thrilled I have another 100 episodes to go and then we get 2 more seasons at least since it's been renewed through 8

My fiancee got me hooked on this show. Just marathon'd through the show in 3 weeks, the last few season were absolutely brutal to watch.

So I'm rewatching this for some reason (don't really know why, just rewatched first ep once and didn't stop ) and I reached the eps where Lily & Marshal buy the crooked appartment in a neighbourhood which stinks during the week...

And I kinda wondered: does the contract really stay binding in America when such 2 critical points were not mentioned by the seller? In europe (well, at least where I live, but I'm sure majority of european countries have a similair law) there are a bunch of laws (saw them in my first year of university, been a while though so it's a bit hazy) that give the right to the buyer to nullify and reverse the contract when certain conditions are met, like the seller deliberatly leaving out key stuff that a normal buyer shouldn't be expected to check out/ask about himself. I'm 99.99% that appartment being crooked would be consider such a thing. Pretty sure that the bad neighbourhood thing would be considered one too, though it would probably need some lawyer work to get that one justified.

Does the contract really stay binding in america under such conditions, or is it a pretty big plothole (you know, Marshal being a lawyer and all) of the series?
