I forget...how did NPH meet Nora? Did she just come outta nowhere or did their meeting actually have some plot line and substance? So many gf come and go on this show..although, I guess NPH prolly never has one last 2 eps.

I would love to see a chart ranking all the hot dates, gf, etc. that have ever been on the show.

Robin set them up.

Well, Robin brought her to McLaren's and Barney spent the evening talking to her but also was hitting on other chicks (Desperation Day, Feb 13). He eventually declined to bring home the blonde bimbo and stayed focused on Nora. So after he tore up Nora's number, Robin gave it to him again.

i feel like HIMYM turned a corner in this episode.

At first I felt it was very likely Nora and Barney get married and thats the wedding from the flash forward. I still think that is the case but the end was a different kind of plot twist and set up for this show.

hopefully they don't decide to drag out the in between last night and nora and barney being back together too long although i think for the set up at the end to make sense, it has to be a little of a wait.

I didn't think it was that bad. The stupid stuff flew by pretty fast so it didn't bother me as much. Lilly is remarkably bad though. She didn't used to be. Not sure what happened but every line she says aside from her speeches to Barney are just horrid.

And my god... Nora!!!!

Thought they implied that Nora will be back. The last scene seemed to imply that Barney did want to (eventually) get married but was too scared to say it so he left. Way too open-ended to end the arc there. I think Barney will eventually marry Nora or possibly Robin (which is the wedding where Ted meets his wife), but the big tease for this season will likely be...

Basically agree that NPH kills it. On the other hand, Alison Hannigan is a walking disaster. That ridiculously contrived way she says "son of a bitch" is so ****ing annoying.

How many eps are left in the season? I hope they introduce the wife at the end; the show doesn't have to end the second they meet (on the contrary, there's actually a solid dynamic to be explored for a season of Ted developing a relationship with his eventual wife), and the teasing is gonna get old over time. I eventually stopped watching Bones because they teased Booth & Brennan almost getting together but then never quite happening for like 4 seasons and I got sick of it.

there was never real doubt this would happen, it almost seems pretty clear the show is done after that.

Jason Segel has complained in the press before about being locked in for 8 years. He wants out and likely wont renew after that.
