True on both, but with this show, I don't care. As long as it keeps me entertained, which it hasn't done in awhile, I'm happy with the episode. It's been a struggle to get through the last 4 or 5 (probably a lot more), but not a problem with this one. Not that I think for a second that this show will be awesome again, but at least I know they have a good idea or 2 left.

i just caught the "three days of snow" ep (on lifetime, yeaaaaa) where marshall gets the band to play for lily at the airport and i was reminded of how much this show sucks now

I know. Anytime I see anything from the first 3 seasons, I'm shocked at what it's become.

It'll all over for this season after tonight though, right? Please?

Unfortunately there's two more after tonight. Season finale is May 16.

A couple of legit lol's in an otherwise dogsh*t episode.

Pretty standard except for the legit lol's part.

I tried to find stuff to like, and I guess a couple Marshall-Barney moments made me crack a smile... but Jesus the rest was so bad.

First of all, Lily and Robin have just turned into two obnoxious, repulsive c***s. They didn't do a single redeeming thing the entire episode.

Secondly, the drawn-out sequence between Ted and Zoey in the Arcadian, dealing with the rats and gross neighbors and dirty sheets was like the most overused sitcom cliche ever.

I could complain more but I feel like I should just stop typing now. It does no good to whine about terrible TV. I have better things to do. I just feel annoyed at myself that I continue to waste time watching this mess out of commitment.

Pretty much. I laughed with Ted's beat-boxing thing both times, but that was about it I think.

I laughed quite a bit during this one but, overall, it was just weird and bad.

the beat boxing definitely made me crack a smile, most of the drunk moments makes you laugh cause it definitely plausible.

the episode was a joke---

a different reaction to every single type of alcohol--not funny or real.

the "walk by the table stare thing" wtf even was that. it just didn't make any sense. Why would some woman be grilling them about taking the table that they were already sitting in and are always sitting in.

The Ted/Zoey story line is garbage. Every episode they seem to get closer and closer as a couple, which just brings the show farther and farther away from ever ending.

The Barney assistant walking by with pictures of things Barney presumably did was funny, other than that this episode was a big pile of ****.

Yeah this all pretty much nails how I felt as well. Barney is the only consistently good thing now and he wasn't even that great this episode.

That entire plot was bizarre. Where the hell did that come from? They already did the "You're in my seat" side-plot. And the chicks weren't even kinda hot.


They could've pulled that joke off during the first 2-3 seasons and made it work. But they ruined every character in this show so the entire thing fell flat.

They really need to kill Lily. Or fire Allison. She's unbelievably bad. She used to be cute enough that I didn't notice, but she's unattractive and a bad actress. She shouldn't be able to get work anymore and probably won't once the show is over.

The "girl" walking by the table was a man right?

I somehow have the feeling that the girl walking by will play a role in some later episode otherwise it would have been the WORST side plot ever.

She might not be attractive to you, but she is to millions and as far as acting goes, watch all she has done outside of HYIM. She's a pretty sick actress.

They need to kill zoe and make ted sad again. Then they can shut him up and leave us with some barney/marshall

I don't mind the main storyline not progressing (I don't really care about the mother anyway), but I do kind of mind the writers making these "promises" about "significant things" and "important arcs" leading up to the "big wedding (TM)" at the beginning of the season, and then seeing that absolutely nothing happens in the entire season, and that the finale seems to be a joke too. Lolbad

Also this episode was really horrible, a lot worse than the average weak episodes I've gotten used to. Ted's final couple lines after seeing the cockroach/mouse thing was particularly weird, it's like they're not even trying any more.

The same kind of line you'd expect from 2 retiree on a retiree forum trying to make funny things happen.

"Oh i was walking by your house with my firetruck but the pizza guy came home, oops" - Some 1800's name.

I get this feeling that the story Zoe told Ted about her growing up there is gonna turn out to be a lie. No real logic behind it, just seemed like bs when she was telling it.

Ep was awful. 2 more season, REALLY?
