How I Met Your Mother: Season 6 - Page 21 - OOTV -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Even though we know Zoey isn't the mother, this show is so much better when Ted is in a relationship.

I didn't watch the series until this past fall, when i watched the whole thing, so I've never had the "Maybe she's the one; oh, no she's not" let down. When you're in season 3 of the series, and know it's still on in season 6, there's not a lot of drama around who he's dating. Knowing the person he's dating is not the mother is kind of my entire experience with the show, but Ted's just a way more interesting character with a girlfriend.

I actually didn't really like that part. I get that the setup of the show is a story being retold, but I usually find it annoying when a character is like "no, that's not what happened!" and goes back to retell something that we've already seen with minor and usually predictable twists.

Unless you're referring to him implying they banged when he actually bawled about his dad, which I did like.

I don't recall anything re: hair colour in the rachel bilson stuff.

We know she isn't a blonde from the relationship with Stella. Stella was blonde and Ted nearly marries her. In one of those eps narrator Ted talks about what his life would be like if he married her and the kids turn blonde (i.e. their real mom is not).

I kind of gave up on this guess after PJ pointed out it would be silly to do a second botched wedding day for day, but now I'm thinking it could be where they're heading - season finale is the Ted/Zoey wedding and Ted meets the mom there.

In the episode where he dates the chick from the OC we meet the mother we just don't know it's her. The give details in the episode about the mother such that shes in a band. I can't remember the details but it's when Ted dates Rachel Bilson the first time. It's Rachel's roommate.

it's weird because after S3 there was a lot of speculation that it wouldn't be renewed.

I quit this show cold turkey after the anti-smoking episode, came back for the cry fest (lol @ robin being a useless bimbo, and losing all that baby weight!). looks like barney has his swagger back.

at this point my money's on the show never truly progressing. they will just keep milking us and milking us with pointless storylines/relationships that won't work out as long as CBS keeps renewing it

then when its finally cancelled the series finale is just gonna be a standard-nothing happens episode where in the final scene Ted is just walking down the street and bumps into some girl and he's like 'oh, my bad', she smiles, then bob sagets like "and thats how I met your mother!"

and cut.

Agree that Zoe obv isn't the mother but now there is a point to her character, maybe she leads to the mother. Plus I have a crush on Zoe and more her is good I guess.

This show has gone so far downhill, I will miss it for a month and then watch 3-4 eps in a row to catch up, just not a must watch. But hopefully it can get some direction back, this ep was way better than anything in a while.

Just wanted to say I really like this show. The gf and I have been watching random episodes on CBS/Lifetime and think it's just great.

I really like the dialogue and we can both relate to Marshall/Lilly cause we're kind of the "married" couple in our group of friends.

I have been watching them out of order, but I think it's a good show you can just turn on and have a few good laughs. It gets a little complicated with who is always dating who, but I can usually figure that out.

Just my two cents.

I do think that whoever the mother is, for story sake to the kids, Saget won't use the mother's real name in the story and at the end of the story he will say something like "and Veronica is LeQuisha your mother."
