After having already been left at the altar once, I doubt the writers would put Ted through a second wedding-day-almost scenario. Once is already contrived; twice is absurd.
99.99% the wedding is someone else's (Barney's is my best guess) and Ted is the best man. Stop overthinking it -- Occam's razor up in here.
