For those that haven't figured it out yet, House of Dragons is a "chick show" aka the target market for this show is women, not men. I think it's important to understand that in order to view it through the proper lens. The first 5 episodes were like a big soap opera (i recall one of the episodes being like a bad episode of Days of Our Lives). The most recent episode featured not 1 but 2 birth scenes, each showcasing the women's pain, and the show even went as far as showing the post-birth struggles. Then, on top of that, there was the breast milk incident. These are women's issues that many women care about and that frankly most men simply don't give 2 craps about.
I myself am a neoteric man who enjoys exploring my feminine side through a good chick show. I just don't foresee House of Dragons holding a candle to the likes of 90 Day Fiance or Real Housewives in that regard. That being said, I will continue to watch this show, simply because i need my fantasy-genre fix.
As for the episode itself, I thought it was one of the better episodes of the seasons. There seemed to be more politics at play this episode rather than just straight up soap opera drama.

My initial reaction to the cast change was not positive. However, when I finally realized how big of a leap in time had taken place, older Rhaenyra reminded me of nearly every hot chick from high school (except Rhaenyra didn't gain much weight).

Probably 5 too
LoL, not even close to any of them. I should be rewatching all those in the next year or so, so I'll be able to give a better update. At this point, I can not imagine ever rewatching House of the Dragon.
