I think the whole bit about Carrie giving up custody is the show throwing in the towel on the Frannie Carrie stuff. Hopefully anyway. I'd imagine her being Brody's kid will be addressed in some way in the final season though. I wouldn't mind if Brody's family is brought back into it a little as well.

Feels like they continue to play it safe.
Imho the show would have gone to new heights had she actually backed up on her daughter and killed her. That was the goat moment and they didn't have the nuts to follow through.
I thought the finale should have ended on the President stepping down. The way they snuck the Carrie thing in at the end seemed all to forced. They could have easily done half a season of her in the Russian jail and getting her out.
Anyway as is, I think the best thing they can do is turn Carrie into the new Quinn, and then kill her off as a hero.

Really wanted Carrie to back into Frannie and kill her. The kids have always been the worst part of Homeland. Remember Brody's kids. Terrible.
Do we have a list of how many bad guys Carrie has banged? Was really hoping the Russian jail guy was going to bang her. She was trying for it.
