Show is always most enjoyable when it starts turning into 24, although most of what's going on so far is too predictable. Dante = mole, Ivan arranging meeting with Saul on creepy dock = dead etc. Hoping for more abstract plot twists, but probably just wishful thinking with this show.

*sigh* at russia narrative. i mean it can make for entertaining television. the problem is that some people believe that russia is a threat to usa in real life

Lol. They're only attacking our electric grid, as well as other energy, nuclear, commercial facilities, water, aviation and critical manufacturing sectors. For further discussion though, take it to Politics.

Neue,

Season 1's non-24 stuff was probably the best and possibly most enjoyable. Since the show has gone on a steep downhill slide though, yes, the 24-style stuff is better than a lot of the other **** they're trying to pass off.

Ivan almost certainly gets saved by some miracle. Probably Saul fishes him out and saves his life, and then he uses him to great effect, as the Russians think he is dead.

If they were going to throw in plot twists that silly to save doomed characters I'd rather they brought back Quinn at full mental capacity somehow.

Or Brody.

If they really wanted to kill Ivan they wouldn't have gone through the elaborate details of showing how they kill him, AND have Saul be around there at the same time.

Presumably they bothered to show how Ivan was killed both because he was a recurring character, and to make Yevgeni look like an evil sadistic badass you can root against.

also it shows that Saul is aware that he’s dead, which matters. I doubt they are bringing him back

Dk,

What if he comes back but he has suffered brain damage so he’s kinda messed up like someone after having a stroke?

If Saul somehow manages to locate and save Ivan in the pitch black in the middle of nowhere I'll quit this show for good

ivan was prepared. he knew this might happen. he had one of those little scuba breathers you put just in your mouth so you can breathe for like 20 minutes under water.

he put a tracker under his skin so his secret contact could find him. his secret contact is....

The main reason I am still watching is to find out who gets custody of Frannie! I cried over how Carrie treated her this episode.

At least Max is with Saul now. Apparently Keane and Wellington were (or are?) a thing.

How many guys has Carrie had sex with since the start of Homeland? Pretty much any male she gets close too, even that kid who got shot in the head.

Yeah it seems they have gone for broke at making her irredeemable this season. At least I'd hope they're knowingly trying to do this.

You'd need to find a way to add Dana Brody to the cast to make it perfect though. Like, Carrie adopted her and she's now Frannie teenage sulking big sister.

In all seriousness, what we need is a Saul & pre-broken Quinn spinoff
