Good ep, assuming Falcone doesn't actually end up retiring. Also interested in how Barbra and Gordon end up back together in the future.

Total shambles of a finale. Did they forget that Fish was shot? can't blame them but utterly bizarre. Selina suddenly a sociopath and part of Fish's gang? Falcone retiring mid 1st getaway? Them being recaptured and then Penguin going full arnie on a room of people so they can make another getaway. Probably overlooking a bunch of awfulness, was just too much to remember.

Best bit was psycho Barbara. I'll probably give s2 a chance just in case they get their **** together.

Horrible finale. Riddler was the only redeeming factor.

And I guess 2nd worst character of all time dying. Too bad #1 is still there, psychoing it up.

That was pretty terrible.

So many cheesy moments; The fight between Penguin/Fish on the rooftop, Selina becoming a badass so randomly, and the reveal of the bat cave. The worst part about the last scene is that it was spoiled the week before in the preview (yes I know nobody watches those....). But seriously, if that's going to be the big reveal, how can you do that? Ugh. So bad.

So over the top. Too bad, the rest of the season was decent.

I managed to stick with season 1 but I'll pass on season 2 week to week. If its on Netflix maybe I'll come back some day.

Gotham needs to do some time leaps forward to make this show more interesting. Hanging with young batman or villains will be too slow. Every 2 seasons they should leap forward 5 years.

They just need to make the writing better and more focused.

The Selina Kyle character on this show is 13. A five-year leap forward would make it easier to allow her to be portrayed having some sexytime on the show.

Just sayin'.

the only really awful part was when Gordon had no problem morally with leaving the Penguin to die in the hospital, but then when the Penguin reminds him that he is in his "custody" he's all "damn you caught me in a technicality, i have to save your life now."

i think that pretty much never happens. it seems clear to me that there are way more tv shows and movies being made than there are good writers to work on them and that writing quality for a show is far more likely to decline than get better.

Yeah, it's never going to be a great show. It is what it is. If we keep watching with limited expectations, I think we can get an entertaining show.

I actually thought the show started a lot more grounded than it became. That episode was everywhere. Its like they decided they needed to go even more 'extreme' than their midseason finale. It was so bad for so many reasons already mentioned. I'm sure I'll pick it up when it comes back, but I'm disappointed where this show wound up after where it was after the midseason finale. Riddler was really the only character who they allowed to have an acceptable slow burn. Gordon turned into Bruce Willis in Die Hard. Penguin had to explain his schemes like a bond villain instead of just staying smart and one step ahead. WTF @ Catwoman...plus should Gordon be scared of a 13 y/o yielding a weapon she probably can't even lift?

The catfight was hot tho...def had a bit of a chub when Barbara grabbed the knife and went all psycho.

Also wtf is up with Butch? Can he control himself or not? It seems like sometimes he is normal and other times a messed-up blubbering idiot.

I suppose that is a small complaint compared to some of the crap in this finale.

As said, Riddler was well done. So there's that...

this was such garbage. I'm happy I was not the only one who was like wtf when did catwoman go psycho killer? I think a way to explain some of it wouldve been by explaining that the war between falcone and marone had been going on for like 6 months or so, this would explain some stuff but not all.

also i thought marone was alive when batman was older. are we supposed to believe that someone else from the marone family takes over that clan?

and at this point im pretty sure the barbara he marries is another woman also names barbara cuz this crap makes no sense.

theyre changing a lot of stuff, yeah both marone and falcone are alive in the batman movies(dont know much about comics or whatever), which I thought made this whole plot moot if nobody died, but that was a fun change.

Does Fish just disappear next season since the actress is gone? o.O

wrt to Barbara i imagine she was supposed to be the one he married but they reworked it mid season due to the unpopularity of the character.
