Has anyone seen My Strange Addiction? Last night there was a woman on who couldn't stop eating toilet paper. Yup. You have to see it to believe it. I think it was TLC.
After I watched the show last night I took a short nap with a blowdryer then ate half a sheet of toilet paper
Winter press tour for television critics is currenting going on in LA. Some of the highlights so far:
-AMC says "Mad Men" will be back for season 5 even though it hasn't been renewed. They still need to work out contracts so no timetable has been setup but a few critics think early 2012.
-AMC's next series "The Killing" starts in early April and stars Mireille Enos from "Big Love". It's a murder mystery based off a danish series and the early word is the pilot is great.
-A&E has a new seris "Breakout Kings" from the creator of "Prison Break" and even features an appearance from T-Bag. This could be hilarious.
-Lifetime has ordered 5 pilots including one that stars Meadow Soprano.
-Hallmark Channel is doing a western movie that stars Luke Perry and is directed by Jason Priestly.
HBO's panels are tonight so there should be alot more news coming out soon.
^ I enjoy Gold Rush enough to have watched every ep thus far and waiting for next one. It's not TV greatness but I like the subject and the production isn't bad. I hate the sentimental crap and the artificial build-up of various adversity. Also the finances are sketchy. It's stressed ad nauseam that they are all more or less broke or bankrupt and taking a huge financial risk in this gold digging project. They don't get anything from the production company then?
Seen only the pilot of Storage Wars. Pretty meh, similar to Pawn Stars but I expect the novelty running out much faster on this one. Probably end up watching an odd episode here and there.
Between Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Auction Kings, American Restoration and American Pickers the History Channel has several very similar shows atm.
watching 30 for 30 espn documentaries. four days in October, the one about the sox was real good. watching the reggie miller one. its really good so far.
Really really, amazingly good. I heard it was pretty good at the time it was out, but i just forgot about it till someone reminded me last week.
Not sold on the idea of doing seasons in three film length episodes, but it got a second season for later this year and i definitely recommend it for anyone who hasnt seen it.
