Prison Break season 1
Spoiler:
First 2 seasons of Chuck would satisfy those needs.

Action, comedy, cheese, but with enough heart that makes you care about all of the characters.

Stop at the end of s2 as it serves as a finale and 3-5 aren't anything special.

I'm rewatching the walking dead, and it's shocking how awful the lead actor is, the guy who plays Rick. his southern accent is absurd

agreed walking dead is awful

early episodes were very well put together with strong plots that made you forget or forgive how bad the acting was by some of the actors

then you begin forgiving some of the major gaffes

like when they get to the farm it's been over a year of the apocalypse, but then they have a scene of rick making a sandwich with nice soft fluffy bread - he doesn't pull it out of a wonder bread wrapper, but he may as well have - just absurd how such perfectly shaped and sliced soft and bleached white bread like it came out of a wonderbread package was available

and i can't even find pics or video of it because apparently there's a ton of much more famous sandwich scenes in the show

like they stopped caring about world building, they really wanted to show rick being able to have a sandwich again for the first time in a year and then just give him off the shelf bread instead of having him use bread that was clearly sliced off a loaf they baked themselves

and then from there on out that would continue

i got as far as the sanctuary/hospital plotline and then gave up

some people convinced me to stick with it so i began resuming it from there a few years back, hated every minute and then after a few negan episodes i was like "ok i just can't do this anymore" and finally quit again

I also like how if they scratch you then you'll turn into a zombie, but you'll be fine if you have several open wounds and repeatedly wrestle around with zombies and just bleed all over each other in your open wounds. just don't get scratched! lol

Those are both quite believable and would not quite the top 10 least plausible things in TWD.

Lost’s ending is one of the top 10 episodes so it’s fine.

One of my favorite things about Lost was reading all the discussions between episodes.

Lost finale is an amazing episode/ending after a mediocre season. Although Ab Aeterno (Richard centric) is also on of the best Lost episodes.

Pilot premiered 20 years ago today btw

Watching Poker Face (2023) with girlfriend. Really fun show, but not a good binge. Better to leave some time in between episodes imo. Natasha Lyonne is great in the role, same as all her other roles though lol.

Season 2 of From is still good, slower than S1 though. Great mystery show

It was brief window in time, we had message boards but no social media. And the producers weren't all over the boards with PR sock puppets.

From is off to a strong start, I still suspect their 'answers' are gadgets of the week.

i dunno

i like it and i watch it, but i think if u take Gary Oldman out of it, i doubt many would watch it then.

its very far fetched to say the least but still an enjoyable watch, but it wouldnt be the sort of show that will get many re-watches i dont think

Oldman is perfect but I actually like all the characters. Or dislike if intended. I was thinking yesterday about maybe rewatching the whole series lol

My tastes don't generally align with this forum tho so I wouldn't expect that to be consensus

I genuinely love it! It’s “light” enough to be a fun watch and occasionally dark enough to lock me in.

Love Slow Horses, but holding out for another couple of weeks until the final two episodes are out.

Oldman is fantastic but I wouldn't say he's totally carrying the show, that said, I'm not sure I'd watch it without him. Actually, maybe for Kristin Scott Thomas...❤️

any chance one of you will watch new show "Doctor Odyssey" (ABC in the USA) tonight and provide a thumbs up or down?

A remake of the "Love Boat" with this cast seems watchable but need confirmation from friends

Yep, it's Ryan Murphy and has Don Johnson. I will watch.

I am in PST so it's on soon.

Word is that both Ryan Murphy shows airing now - Monsters (about the Menendez family, on Netflix) and American Sport Story (about Aaron Hernandez, on FX) - are subpar. Does anyone here feel otherwise?
