We Own This City - new David Simon mini-series about police corruption in Baltimore. Lot of familiar faces from The Wire in here it seems, can't wait

The Americans has lots of potential but is there this much drama until the end? I've nearly finished season one and it's extremely annoying how first Elizabeth was a badass with no feelings and now more and more she's just whining and whining because some boohoo happened.

i loved the americans and then for the same reasons it began to fall off a cliff, definitely stuck with it longer than that though - don't know waht season i quit for good but it was when their children started becoming bigger characters on the show

apparently the thread says it regains form in the final season so i may just skip to watch that if i ever dive back in

I loved the first episode of Righetous Gemstones, but it's been downhill from there. Just finished the episode where they attempt to "save" the daughter of a wealthy donor, and it was the worst half hour of TV I've watched recently.

Does it get better or is this not for me?

The first season is pretty great but the 2nd was just weird. That said, they committed to what they were going for and sold it well, it was just stupid to me

The following episode was the best TV I've seen recently. It was a total shift from the previous episodes, but even if returning to the previous quality I think I'm hooked again.

I can't get over the drastic shift in quality between those episodes. I think Black Mirror was the previous title holder for the category of biggest disparity in quality between episodes and it wasn't even close.

Finished "the americans" overall i liked it and binged it in like 3 weeks or so .

I like espionage type shows (homeland and Spooks being in my Top 5 series o.a.t)

Spoiler:
only thing that annoyed me in the whole show was the wigs, when they are in bed with people does no one ever touch hair ?

Le Bureau is the GOAT espionage show (on Sundance Now, through Prime)
Berlin Station is decent as well (originally aired on Epix)

I was half way through the 8 episodes or whatever was already on Netflix, and tried to finish recently and never did, it seemed boring. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance to get good.

First episode of The Minx was pretty good. A lot of potential. And the most amount of dicks I’ve ever seen in a single episode of TV lol

I don't know how to trust any of you who said S1 of Euphoria is better than S2.

It's such an incredibly bad take that I may just need to block you. That would be the nicest thing I could do. I've considered sending a SEAL time to end you. That's how bad the take is.

Fez and Ash spinoff has to happen or we riot.

I was far more excited when I thought that Winning Time was going to be a one-and-done. I’m enjoying it but I really want it to get to the games.

It ends strong and worth skipping to the last season, the daughter doesn't go away but becomes way less annoying.

I didn't think I would like it as I am not really into sports; and don't typically care for John C Reilly, but I gave it a try and binged all 3 episodes last night. I was a bit into basketball in the 80s when I was growing up so that nostalgia factor helps I guess.
