Righteous Gemstones season 2 episode 2:
Spoiler:
Gunshot wound the the head makes sense, but WTF was the deal with the two other guys? One kind of looked like Eric Roberts' character with acid thrown all over him but the other guy was like 20 feet up in a tree. I guess it's going to be explored more in the coming weeks, but that came out of the left field.

i really soured when they made all the characters caricatures of themselves

gay dude previously had no morals but was super ambitious suddenly couldn't do anything
actress who's super positive and upbeat becomes a self involved vapid idiot
boyfriend who's a nice guy reveals he's a sociopath
main character just becomes a shell

season one was so amazing, huge letdown

I actually really like the show. The only thing I didn’t like was how much time they spent with her being kidnapped on season 4. The rest had been great.

I meant specifically the last 2 episodes and that..... turn they took. Never would’ve thought it would go that route and go that far with it.

Anyone watching or watched The Silent Sea? It’s a Korean sci-fi on Netflix. Loving it through E3. Hope whatever the big reveal is isn’t something ridiculous

i haven't watched it, but im guessing if there is a big reveal it will be absurd and/or disappointing

I LOVED the last episode, and the series overall. Not usual kind of thing, but I am really glad I stuck with it. Helped that I only vaguely remember the book.

Pretty glad I forced myself to get through episode 5 of yellow jackets, the rest of the season was quite good, especially the finale. My 2 months of 99c showtime and Paramount plus on prime end soon but I will probably resubscribe in a month or two via the Paramount plus site bundle to binge billions and super pumped and finish 1883.

I am behind on 1883, got another 2 months free on Paramount+ that will expire shortly after the 1883 finale, so I guess I am just saving the binge while catching up on other shows. Then it's about time to get on Apple+ again and catch up on a bunch, and several new shows are starting over the next few weeks on there.

Servant season 3 on the 21st, After party on the 28th and Suspicion on Feb. 4th.

Apple+ was easily one of the best bang for the buck subscriptions when I signed up last fall for a couple months. I binged a bunch of series on there when I had it but didn't watch any of the ones you mentioned so I might have to sub to it again and check those out.

I'm frustrated that I have the CBS/Paramount Plus app, which has 1883, but if I want to watch Yellowstone (made by Paramount) I need to buy the NBC/Peacock app. WTF?

Wife and I have been watching Leverage: Redemption, which is a remix of the TNT show from the early-2010s about good criminals pulling heists on bad criminals. It's now on IMDB TV, which is just some free ad-based channel in Prime Video. The show is not good, but it's exactly what you expect and is delightfully light. If you enjoyed the original, about 75% of the cast is back, and it's entertaining.

Yes, the whole Yellowstone/1883 on 2 platforms sucks and is a bit confusing, my sister texting the crap out of me trying to figure out how to watch both. lol

I get peacock through my cable company for free(Cox) otherwise you have to pay for Peacock for Yellowstone seasons 1-3, but the new season 4 was only on Paramount Network(not Plus), which I get for free also through cable co. But my sister has Youtube tv and could watch it through that for no additional.

I think if you have any cut the cord type service for TV, you can use it to watch paramount network for free to see season 4.

Yellowstone is part of YouTube tv (Paramount network) for me, but I would gladly cut that $65 cord if it weren't for the rest of the house.

So what's the deal with 1883, do you have to know anything about Yellowstone to watch it?

Nah, you can definitely watch it. Yellowstone primarily takes place in modern day whereas 1883 takes place 130+ years ago.

hmmm I'm still enjoying The Silent Sea...not revolutionary post apocalyptic but different and fine nonetheless. Solid 7/10 about halfway through

Agree there was a line in the finale that, as a parent, has stuck with me. Very well done. Still could have done with more year 0 and little less of the traveling symphony but whatever

Good I'm on Ep 5 of Yellowjackets. Fun show thus far.

Is 1883 as terrible as YellowStone?
