But please, let us agree, Gomez is a 4/10 at acting and has one of the most annoying speaking voices in the business. She's young so she has more than enough time to improve. But in a meritocracy of acting she'd be nobody right now.
YES

Pretty spot on review. An actual actress would be so much better in that role. She’s ok to look at I guess.

A lot of you may not be old enough to remember this, but what they're doing with Gomez reminds me a lot of what they tried to do with Madonna in the 80's and 90's. But I'd say Gomez is worse which is saying a lot.

That Gomez can sing so beautifully with THAT speaking voice is one of the great miracles of nature to me.

i've only seen selena gomez act in one film "the fundamentals of caring" with paul rudd. she was great.

i mean she wasn't daniel day lewis. but she def added to the film. it wasn't a disney type role. i understand gomez has some personal demons, and she wasn't afraid to let them show in her performance.

Like this one, each season takes like 3.5 hours to watch, very fast paced and entertaining, a lot less boring than a lot of other dystopian shows.

Half way done S3 of Mr Inbetween, **** me.

Kind of feels like they're taking it in a direction where if they miraculously did get picked up for S4 they could go on. But it could also end here and fit.

But don't spoil me! I'm enjoying the agony of watching a perfect show be neglected by bad marketing and a bad title.

I didn't see threads for Roadkill Garage on MotorTrend TV or Monster Garage on Discovery. Anyone watch them?

I enjoy them in different ways.

The former seems to be a couple guys taking old craptastic cars and getting them running again (but not restoring).

The latter is a remake of the original, a team of builders gets five days to make some crazy machine with Jesse James. The last episode I saw they took an old Stringray Vette and converted it to run on wood. Actually got it running, that was fun.

Last 2 mins of Mr Inbetween didnt live up to the whole show, but S3 still super.

Have any of you seen Hacks or Loki? Both look decent. Need something new.

Hacks is really good. Loki is pretty damn good as far as disney+ shows go. In some ways better than mandalorian.

There’s a movie called The Magician starring Ray. I don’t think it was necessarily good but I would’ve thought differently about the series finale had I not seen it beforehand.

Reservation Dogs on FX/Hulu is very good. Starts out quirky but it has gone in a much darker direction the last few episodes.

Yeah that one and the one about the Punk Rock Muslim girls got very high ratings. I'm undecided on starting them.

I'd give Reservation Dogs a watch. They have tackled some pretty serious and heavy issues about life on the reservation so far.

In-Season Hard Knocks with Indianapolis Colts starting November 17th. That is cool, but what if they suck by then and won't be making a playoff run? lol

Finished Lucifer. Probably the weakest season, but it wrapped things up nicely.

Out of curiosity did you watch the whole thing?

8 episodes in it's the best comedy I've seen since Ted Lasso, and if not for Ted Lasso I'd certainly put it as potentially best comedy in the last 3 years (certainly since Atlanta for me anyway).

They've somehow managed to make me guess wrong on plot developments just about every time I tried (minus a couple spots).

The episode where she meets the dude in the Casino and they party was tremendous. That I'm so invested in a show with 2 female leads is a very pleasant surprise (and I'm loving that trend).

They don't over Vegas you but give you just enough to miss the place. Tonight we're going to watch the 2 last episodes, really looking forward to that. We paused Veep completely to binge this. And Veep is no slouch itself.
