I like it. It's not a top 10 show or anything but its good.
admittedly I haven't watched a S3 ep yet

but for S1-S2, my hot takes about Yellowstone: the cinematography is the best on TV, kevin costner is great in his role and I love the cowboy stuff they show.
but...the running story lines are godawful and outside of costner, most of the characters u are rooting for to die in a grease fire.

Granted I only watched S1 ep.1 but I got the vibe that it was another Dallas or Dynasty type show. Basically, another soap opera

I couldn't get past the shitty acting in the first episode. The story didn't seem great either.

Are they still filming It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?

Imagining what they would do with the Marlins getting coronavirus after having been in Philly. "The gang shuts down baseball" or something.

Our friends turned us on to this show, and it's decent, the wife and I are still watching...but I've told everyone who recommended the show the daughter is so incredibly over the top with the angle they are going for that it takes me out of the show whenever she is on-screen.

No one agrees with me so I guess it's an old man yelling at the sky scenario.

Glenn Flowerbun was on one of the late night talk shows recently saying they could go forever with stories just using current events, but it will be delayed.

Who’d have ever guessed a bunch of poker bro’s would try to show how edgy they are by trashing Fleabag. Quite the shocking turn of events, to be sure!

Dom is plenty cultured and I find his dislike of the show baffling.

Stumbled upon 'Horace and Pete' last week. Thought it was excellent. Might be biased because I'm a big Steve Buscemi fan, but everything about the 'show' wast just right, and felt very different from any other shows ( almost like theater I guess, although I never watched theater and would guess I would probably hate it ).

Aired in 2016 so not exactly new.

lol I don't dislike as much as it was meh to me...Watched two or three episodes and there's just so much more to watch other than Yellowstone that I never continued. It was ok, though.

Not sure if serious. Dominic is like Fleabag's number 1 fan.

Was randomly put onto "the sinner" by a friend, I hate most of the stuff I see on Netflix, but I thought S1 was pretty good and was surprised when S2 was even better and IMO actually quite high quality - despite him saying it was worse than S1.

Haven't seen much discussion about it anywhere really but I can see S1 is preferred by audiences. Gonna make a start on S3 now.

The 100% RT score of Giri/Haji piqued my interest so decided to give it a go and not really sure how I feel about it retrospectively. I feel like it started off pretty strong, but the second half (the big shootout and afterwards) felt like a drag at times and the story fizzled out, becoming a standard relationship drama.

Some of the parts I found annoying:

* Pretending there exists pretty much one camera in an entire restaurant when in reality the whole place would be wired out the wazoo and everyone involved promptly arrested.

* No one in the entire London PD able to make the connection that Kenzo and Yuto are brothers/generally acting incredibly incompetent.

* Vickers and Donna pretty much dropped from the story without anyone giving it a second thought.

* That scene where Taki acted as an interpreter.

* Errors regarding time zone differences. There was a scene in one of the later episodes when Rei tries calling Kenzo and it's morning in Japan, but at the same time it's also morning/lunch in London.

* Second half of the latest episode was especially bad. The whole thing with Abbott offering some comedic relief brought me completely out of it as did that interpretative dance number that came out of nowhere.

While I don't regret spending 8 hours of my time on it, I probably wouldn't bother rewatching it ever again.

So with the fall approaching will there be any new programs with Covid?

What surprises me is Movies in the theatres . Why not release them on demand at $20.00 for three months than the usual rate

They keep pushing movie releases back trying to make the most money but nobody is going to pack on a theater to watch a movie any time soon. They probably can make a decent amount at the $20 a stream, maybe even at $30.

lol at the dance scene. yeah, at first i was like "wtf?!?! hell no! this is absurd!!" but then i ended up liking it! lol

i can't even remember who vickers and donna are, so i guess i didn't mind them being dropped.

it was def soapy, but all tv is

I also thought the dance thing kinda worked but the rest of the post is correct, the ability of people to just... get away from a 15 minute long firefight that killed like 30 people in the middle of a city? Then at the end? Literally every character is spending forever in jail.

It passed the time, nicely shot, good acting all around. C+/B-.

Really enjoyed "Bad banks" on HBO: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6258718/
Its a german show about the finance world in and around Germany and it has released 2 seasons so far and looks like it will be more seasons. Really solid acting IMO and even tho season 1 was better then season 2 I enjoyed booth of them.
