I needed a break . Then I mistakenly watched the first episode of amazon prime Too Old to Die Young wherein the action is much slower but just as sick ; especially repugnant was a teen girl's wealthy, hedge fund father. I start thinking everybody I meet in real life is a druggy or psycho. I'll try Amazon Prime Patriot next I guess. Maybe a Disney movie.
Whitaker played one of the all-time cinematic psychopaths in Last King of Scotland - I had no idea he was capable of smthg like that

FYP -

But tbh, some of my favorite characters are villains.

Ashur in Spartacus

Simcoe in Turn

The title is "Play by Play"-it's basically as if freaks and geaks had a play by play announcer as a narrator (according to the reviews); the idea stemmed from an ESPN broadcaster.

I stumbled cross this somewhere and tried to find it but couldn't. It was originally a go90 (lol-Verizon streaming service) production but go90 shut down last year. imbd says there's a third season in 2019 but I can't find what network is going to be airing it. I spent well over an hour looking for it out of sheer stubbornness and couldn't find it. Was on kodi but no link worked. TIA if anyone can find it
When you posted this originally I DM'ed one of the actors in the show, Tyler Crim. This is what he responded a month later, "Hi mark, sorry I just now saw this I’m not on this app much. They’re still working on finding the right network for the show as Verizon’s go90 is no longer. I’ll let you know when I hear anything!"

Looks like you will have to wait for season 3 for awhile. Who knew they would film an entire season of a show then just put it on a shelf?

Yup, I've been watching. Stumbled upon it via Amazon Prime and ripped through the first couple seasons. Don't really care too much about the Smurf flashbacks but this must be the last season for Ellen Barkin so their giving her character some run. Feels like Point Break the TV show which is just fine as a summer watch.

I'm liking this new Damnation show on Netflix, like if Kung Fu, Justified and Carnivale all got together and had a orgy lovechild tv show.

Veronica Mars S4 spoilers below
Spoiler:
Really loved this season, far and away better than S3/movie. Kinda sad way for Logan to go out but I haven't liked him since S2 really, and the worst part of the season was the Logan/Leo stuff. Seems like the ending is getting a lot of hate though! There are a lot of people speculating that Logan isn't dead - the lack of footage of the death/funeral etc. which may open itself up to a GoT 'lol not dead' type of reveal. I really, really hope they don't resort to that...although it would mean another season!

I read a negative review saying the biggest problem of the season is the other major characters have grown and changed exponentially (most notably Logan) but Veronica is literally the exact same person she was in high school. Which is definitely true but if she changes it's not really Veronica Mars anymore, so I'm not sure what they could have done differently.

But what a final two episodes. Them in the cabin had my heart beating a million miles a minute, and then Weevil showing up <3. Keith at the vending machine got me right in the feels, Keith getting the bomb at the school. His illness just being pills mixed up is a massive cop out but I love Keith so I'm fine with it.

Damn season 1 of Barry was really good. It started out okay but really picked up towards the end. Last episode reminded me alot of the best part of Dexter.

Starting season 2 now!

IMHO Frasier lands comfortably in top 10 sit-coms of all time. Probably better if you have seen Cheers but definitely not a prerequisite.

Hall-of-Fame character for sure

I thought Big Little Lies S2 started promisingly but then slowed right down. I also don't see how there will be a third season, which is about right.

yes. last week's ep was pretty crazy/bloody!

when this series debuted, I couldn't really get into it for whatever reason. I haven't seen the Australian movie it was based on so that had nothing to do with it fwiw. but I started randomly watching again at the beginning of S3 and have liked it since then.

Agreed, this show has run its course. I hope they don't make a 3rd season.

Five episodes in and I'm enjoying this show. Probably would have never found it or known it was worth watching if I hadn't stumbled on your post; thanks! Shame that it was cancelled; I'm guessing it's not drawing dead to a revival, though.

"Who Killed Garrett Phillips?" and "I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter" are both good True Crime Docs, both on HBO. The 2nd is the texting suicide case.

Another Life on netflix. A giant ****ing convoluted mess of first 7 episodes then came together last 3. Would have been so much better to put the first 7 into 2 episodes and still have 5 left after it got interesting.
