Btw the book is incredible. And then his other book is also incredible https://www.amazon.com/ZeroZeroZero-.../dp/0143109375

He's in permanent hiding and protection because of the first book.

A few months ago I DVR'ed from FX the movie Deadpool. I watched it last night and noticed that the movie played unedited. I didn't know that they could do that on basic cable. Granted a bleeped version would have really hurt the comedy.

You've never noticed the cursing on every FX show ever?

Watching the first season of The Sinner....I like it. It's weird seeing Deputy Tim from Justified as a creepy bad guy.

I think he really looks like a creepy bad guy though. I watched The Sinner season one last week and thought it to be MEH.

I didn't think the wrap was great...I did think the actress who played Phoebe was amazing.

Patrick Stewart coming back as Jean-Luc Picard for a new CBS Star Trek series.

Everyone likes Patrick Stewart but blimey he's as old as time. He's not exactly going to get beamed down to a planet to get in a fist-fight with a Gorn is he?

He was no spring chicken when the original Next Generation was on and that started 30 years ago, ffs.

Maybe he won't be a Captain, I guess.

Euro DVD's dont even play on North American DVD players apparently. Really would like to support them but I'm getting pretty sick of waiting for this. It aired last year I think.

Finished The Leftovers.

The finale was very, very good (like all season finales in this show). The series as a whole was pretty special and unique, some very powerful emotional moments. Though there were some things i really didnt like (laurie, meg, john among others) Kevin, nora and matt were amazing characters. Im still not sure about the whole Kevin thing (international assassin) The episodes centered on that were just so weird.. Mabye i dont fully understand it and need to rewatch those 2 episodes.

Not a series i would rewatch, mabye ever, but im glad i did. Pretty heavy stuff, but i do recommend it. Music is amazing and the show does has fantastic moments.

I was thinking about rewatching The Shield but then i read they just announced the Blu-ray release of the whole show for november 8, after 3 years of work on it. Pretty excited for that now, watched the show ~6years ago and it was so good. Top 5 of all time.

On to Lost rewatch i think. Also watching bojack s3 and 4, 12 monkeys, BCS new episode. Im going to try and find a really good show (lots of seasons, completed and regarded as very good) but i didnt really find something yet. If not its Lost. Something like Lost, breaking bad, Got, the shield, Mad Men,.. Couldnt get into the wire or justified (sorry)

I loved The Leftovers but I have no desire to ever watch it again. I have rewatched specific episodes and scenes though.

How much of The Wire did you watch?

For those on AP I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet but The Looming Tower is pretty solid. Tells the story of the FBI and CIA interactions in the time leading up to 9/11, which was pretty f-ed up. Based fairly heavily on Ali Soufan's book The Black Banners, which was pretty good as well.

For anyone still along for the ride with the Affair, S4E8 (most recent) is maybe the best episode of all time of that show (in the midst of an almost unbearably bad season no less). Otoh, just discovered they're doing a 5th season, when this whole time I thought we were approaching the finish line, shucks.

Spoiler:
"Let me guess: you're ****ing his mother" was fantastic.
also RIP Alienducklady, anyone else think Luisa killed her?

That was a WTF moment like I haven’t seen since Will Gardner in The Good Wife. AV Club review said the same. A blast of an episode then a kick in the balls!

Started watching Gomorrah last year but couldn't really get into the 1st season. Thought I'd give it another shot after reading this thread and yeah the 2nd one was top notch! Can't wait to see the 3rd over the weekend.

Also want to give a mention to The Night Manager, a couple of years old now but thoroughly enjoyed it recently.

My Filthy take, I liked Gomorrah season 1 better than 2. I binged season 1 like a crack addict. Season 2 didn't grab me as hard.

Has season 3 been released with English subtitles? Only seen Italian versions.

Have you seen the miniseries Corleone Il Capo dei Capi yet about Sicilian mafia boss Toto Riina? It's really good & on youtube with English subs

It's ok so far. There have been some eye roll moments in each episode. Carrie **** is in it, which is the only reason I am watching. I'll keep watching but my expectations aren't that high.
