EarthFlight (bbc)

Great camera work.
nature show, about migrating and flying birds + other animals. They somehow rigged cameras on birds and off they went.

worth a watch. mellow in parts, and some good eagle action scenes.

Anyone ever seen Lost Girl that's set to premiere on SyFy in a few days?

It shows on IMDB that it 1st came out in 2010 but it's running for the 1st time on SyFy this month.

Kind of looks like it might be worth checking out.

If you can make it past the first few episodes which have some LOLbad acting & scenario setup, it's fairly enjoyable.

I really liked it and now look forward to next season. Laura Dern plays psycho crazy extremely well!
+1, I watched the first ep a while ago and thought it seemed promising, then noticed it was about to be booted off hbo on demand this morning and marathoned the remaining 9 eps. I was very impressed, I thought the writing and acting were both across-the-board strong, and I loved the way it presented a nuanced view of most of the characters despite starting out in the first two eps seeming as if could be going down the broad parody route.

I think it's a sharp social critique as well about how shallow our culture is and how painful it is to be handcuffed by your past actions and how the high school dynamic never really goes away for most people. It also serves as a pretty biting and accurate satire of dysfunctional people who discover meditation / positive thinking and latch onto that as their new identity while still remaining egotistical and narcisistically self-involved. Anyway, I'm glad to see it got renewed for a second season since I enjoyed it.

There is a thread around here somewhere for it.

Its really good, the 5th ep (3 per season, all 90 min long) that was on last sunday is the first ep where i didnt really like it.

It has its ups and downs. Both of the middle episodes of both seasons have been really bad but the other 3 have been good to great. I have high hopes s2e3 especially after hearing its title.

Anywhere here seen Hotel Babylon? Is it any good? Catched 5 minutes and looked like a fun concept but don't want to get sucked/plot commited into something that... sucks.

The first season was good. The first episode of the second season was one of the best episodes of any show I've ever watched. Sick good.

I think this is the year i finally stop watching Hustle despite basically hating it for half a decade or more.

Every single episode is identical, they find someone who is bad, then they talk about how they will steal his money, then they do that plan, then they make it look like its going to fail, then they have a flashback to where they show there was more of the plan that they didnt tell the audience and then they do that hidden bit and steal their money. It wouldnt be so bad if it had any moral message whatsoever, 90% of the time they just keep the money they stole and waste it on flashy bull****, and if they stopped relying on that crutch of having the fakeout to the flashback reveal where it was planned to go slightly wrong all the time.

I definitely noticed your first point more in this episode than I had before but they still keep a bunch of money. I'm sure in earlier seasons they were less of morally upright as well. I remember an episode where they have a bet to see who makes the most and they just scam tourists and stuff.

Leverage was way worst for this. I gave up after half a season as it constantly shoved the fact they were the 'good' guys down your next every 5mins, it became quite sickening.

I don't mind the flashback that much but yeh doing every episode can get a bit tedious.
Don't worry about stopping watching, I'm fairly certain it's the last season anyway.

It's the final series so you might as well stick with it until the end.

Through 3 episodes (north america, africa, europe) and this is amazingly shot. Highly recommend.
