Really enjoyed The Bureau. If you're looking for more spy type stuff, try Berlin Station on Epix

Just wrapped up Mindhunter and absolutely loved it. Favourite show up the year so far. I found it captivating and wouldn't describe it as boring at all. It's very talky and not action driven but certainly not boring. Highly recommended.

this is probably my main problem. The subject matter is probably my favorite in entertainment, but i feel like nothing happened the whole series. The acting was good and i liked the characters but i feel like the whole series was basically a preamble.

reasons in spoiler just in case.

Spoiler:
the two or so live cases they did were immediately discernible, the interrogations were just, "omg he said bad words, and they talked to him because they say bad words too", and the drama of dealing with the fbi was the same, "you cant say bad words, even when they are real descriptions!!" i get that they are dealing with base material but i thought the whole thing seemed blah.

That being said i will 100% watch every episode/series in the future and people should probably watch it.

The fiance and I are going through Shameless for the first time.

What's the general rankings of the seasons? We found s2 to be quite a bit weaker than s1 (hated the love triangle/Frank's mom).

Agreed, its my #1 show of all time, I've seen it 6+ times. Its so good, I wish I could reset the part of my brain that holds the memory of BoB so I could watch it fresh over and over and over

I'd rather eat glass than read your musings on what a boring POS BoB is.

But hey, go nuts!

haven't we already determined that the opposite of filthy's opinion is the correct opinion?

I'd be highly interested in seeing what falls in vermin's top 5. Dude seems like a total contrarian for the sake of being contrarian, like he's always gotta out-hipster the hipsters.

top 5

rome
deadwood

after that it gets kinda murky. game of thrones would be for sure but it looks like only the first ~5 seasons are really elite.

sherlock, endeavour, honourable woman, rectify, veep, star trek tos(but i love them all), buffy the vampire slayer, the wire, veronica mars... are all kind of in a lump.

Burying The Wire that low is just wrong. #1 in my book.

I once read a review that used word "Shakespearean" to describe The Wire. My first reaction was "LOL, this dude is way over-rating Shakespeare."

FWIW - I was an English major undergrad and my senior thesis was on Shakespearean tragedy.

Filthy also hates breaking bad, so...

Shows Vermin dislikes...

Breaking Bad
Handmaid's Tale
Ken Burns' Vietnam Doc
Twin Peaks
Mr. Robot
Band of Brothers
Westworld
etc...
etc...

You don't have to like all of these but not liking any of them is telling.

Vermin Loves...
Veronica Mars
Buffy
iZombie

Maybe trolling/attention seeking/bad taste. Maybe vermin is actually a 14 year old girl.
