Just finished Big Little Lies. Absolutely loved it. Great ending...thought it was going to be some cheesy who done it at first, but wow.

I've already praised a lot of the cast, but a shout out to the little kids. Ziggy, Chloe, the twins, Ammabelle...Director Valle really pulled some amazing performances from them.

And one more thing - the sound design was incredible. Loved when we see the main five gals in the interrogation room, we don't hear what they say...only the clicking of the lighter by the lead detective...and then we see the funeral and the last beach scene from her POV, and never see her...but we hear the clicking lighter.

Speaking of Lord of the Flies, one of the first reality shows I ever watched was Paradise Hotel and it was hard to watch at times it got so lord of the fly-ish

Bosch is very good but the show is very different from the books. The cast and writing is top notch.

Damn, this place/show is a trip. The ignorance/arrogance ratio is funny yet scary and makes me wonder if punch will eventually be offered to all.

Is there a separate thread set up to discuss this show?

well you are now the third person to post about it, so not yet

a few of the kids seem fine (like the better looking camille) but the cluelessness of some of the others is astounding. like the ones who left early then sent an email threatening to "expose whats really happening" when jimmy literally has a film crew documenting the camp already. lol. then the follow up interview is "I cant believe I paid $5K and signed the waiver without reading anything first but its like a business man thats not right"

holy ****, new top of the lake series has some bad ass women in it...

elizabeth moss
nicole kidman
gwendoline christie(the big knight from game of thrones)

judging from the preview, at least one man looks like a cartoon villain though.

That Jimmy Stice guy that started the place seems really shady to me. He and his friends strike me as pompous trust fund babies. He's like a modern day Tom Sawyer where people are paying to work on his development, that marketing degree is apparently paying off.

While I like a lot of the issues they are trying to address, the whole place creeps me out for some reason.

Fascinating watch tho

I see the hammer has come down.

Dr. Ken Cancelled ... I can't believe it made it to season 2.
APB Cancelled ... pretty boring.
Imaginary Mary Cancelled ... Watched 5 minutes before I cancelled it.
Secrets and Lies Cancelled ... Not too bad.
American Crime Cancelled ... 1st 2 season were decent, this past one was a snooze fest.

I couldn't figure out why they'd put an imaginary stuffed bear thingy on TV like they did in imaginary Mary...like, how did that get pass a screening process?

I got tired of APB after about 4 maybe 5 episodes. IDK why most network shows have that little cheese factor in their shows

NBC Renews 'Timeless'; Reverses Cancellation

"In a surprise reversal of decision, NBC has decided to renew Timeless for a second season. The move comes just three days after the network originally cancelled the series to the dismay of the show's fans who were left with a season-ending cliffhanger back in February."

lol, You don't see that too often.

as is Girls fwiw
only 14 eps of Game of Thrones left
not sure how much longer Veep will run

is Vice Principals any good?
Divorce seems mediocre based on the fact i've never seen it praised anywhere
Ballers is meh, but might be good enough for what it is
High Maintenence & Insecure might be alright ... is anyone watching?

so they seem to have a hit in Westworld, then there's John Oliver, Silicon Valley, and ... Curb is returning!

problem?

HBO has closed deals with four different writers to explore multiple possible spinoffs of “Game of Thrones.”

The premium cable channel says that there is no timeline for development of the projects. “We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in,” a spokesperson said.

The four writers are Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”), Jane Goldman (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), Brian Helgeland (“Legend”), and Carly Wray (“Mad Men,” “The Leftovers”). Goldman and Wray will each be working individually with novelist and “Game of Thrones” creator George R. R. Martin.

“Game of Thrones” executive producers and showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff will be attached to the four projects, as will Martin, but will not write on any of them.

A spinoff to “Game of Thrones” — the most watched series in HBO history — has been a source of speculation for years. In recent months, HBO executive began to privately acknowledge that the network was searching for writers to develop ideas based on the series and Martin’s best-selling fantasy novels from which it is adapted.
ya doesn't take a rocket surgeon to get into the business of GOT spinoffs
