Burned through the first season of Travelers. I think it was created by the guy who created Stargate so if that kind of sci fi works for you then I'd recommend. It got me hooked and interested that I caught myself going to bed late a few times just to catch one more episode.

First 20 minutes of Hunted is deadly boring...almost unwatchable.

I mean, they get get a one hour head start....you'd think you'd have a bag all packed and ready to go, you know?

Did a marathon on Sneaky Pete over the last week, thoroughly enjoyed it although I am in agreement with the whole being too much 'just in the nick of time' stuff.

Finished Good Behavior. It was ok but not great, I found her lack of Southern accent very grating, actually she was totally lacking an American accent of any sort.

Watched the first episode of Berlin Station. I enjoyed it but bf wasn't as enamored so will have to try and fit it in without him.

Also watched the first episode of the second season of The Missing, looks good.

I watched it hoping it was some kind of Survivor-like show, but it turned out to be complete garbage.

Most of that was obv put on for stupid people.

The one team obviously had a great amount of planning done. Staying with a random law school buddy was good. They got a few days out of that. But they were moronic to leave at night. Much better to establish routine of the friend and then leave during that routine.

The F/F team didn't seem horrible. Using a truck for first movement wasn't anything special, especially since they went to a campground, and they didn't get their first ATM withdrawal yet. I'm wondering what the limit is on food/water help. They seem ready to make a go of it in the wilderness which seems like the best option if you can hack it.

The giant/giantess HAD to have been stupid plants. I mean, there's just no way that was actually their plan.

The fun is not in actually watching it but rather thinking of how you would escape yourself. I've got a trucker friend who does short hauls. Pretty sure I could live in the dude's truck for a month zero issues. Seems the easiest route. Water/MREs/WagBags/Piss Bottles. Easygame.

If the show were on FX or something instead of CBS, Hunted would have been done so much better.

Like on network tv, you knew it was gonna be really dumbed down, intentionally dumb contestants, probably some rules that really help give away their location (like having to drag along a camera guy instead of giving the contestants body/head cams and directions on how to film their own confessionals x times per day).

But if it were on even basic cable, I would be so much more confident that some of the fluff would be eliminated and you'd get more real grit.

I think the problem is that they forgot to screen the contestants ahead of time to see if any of them had an ounce of intelligence or personality.

I'm a huge fan of Happy Valley, both seasons. The main lady cop is a true badass and a great character.

I wonder if he evened watched Luck? Aside from the lol poker scenes, ( which prolly didn't offend average viewers like it offended us), the show was excellent.

I like The Young Pope. I have always been curious about life in the Vatican and also aJude Law fan so it's easy watching. I stumbled onto The onto the Weed Guy on HBO. It's 6 light, entertaining episodes of late night tv and worth a watch.

The Good Place finale was masterful, I absolutely did not see that coming. I'm so glad I stuck with the show after being lukewarm on the first few episodes.

Ted Danson deserves all the Emmys.

I was really hoping they had bought the tickets to Atlanta and then walked somewhere else and hopped a bus to a different city.

Writing down the schedule was dumb. I told my wife that if I were on the show, I'd do things like that to leave false clues. Like send an email to a friend where instead of using spaces between the words I would use letters in white text to spell out false information. You'd also need burner phones.

I found the notion of a comedy series having a great and very unexpected season finale so weird I had to hop back on The Good Place wagon. Watched the first three eps when it first aired and have now gone through the next three. Thought it was kinda decent but not especially great back then and haven't changed my mind since. The progressing main story arc does keep some suspense going and Ted Danson continues to rule. The chick playing Tahani is super hot and Kristen Bell is always nice as well. The subtle race mixing propaganda in this universe is kinda meh but whatever. But yeah, likely would've never revisited this show if it wasn't for this supposedly brilliant finale. Hopefully I don't build it up to something it can't live up to.

I haven't delved into too many comedy series but in Fresh Off The Boat I seem to have found a good one. The cast is really great and the writing has its peaks here and there while on the whole it's pretty formulaic and outdated. Perhaps that's why I kinda feel the need to classify it as a guilty pleasure type of show.

Tried to start Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency but only got thru the first maybe 20 minutes or so. Pretty terrible imo. I'm guessing it's more about the genre/storyline than the execution but there just wasn't much I liked so I guess I'm not gonna give it another try.

Watched the first episode of Sneaky Pete. Kind of a letdown but will prolly have to see one or two more episodes to make up my mind. I like Giovanni Ribisi but certainly not gonna watch the show just because of him. Too little of Cranston in the first ep.

If that's how your feel you should probably stop watching now. By episode 4 the show had found its groove and by 6 I was finding it consistently funny and clever. Besides, if you stop now it will save us from any further hot takes such as...
