I actually want to like Lethal Weapon and think there is potential to it if they capture the right energy from the films.

Watched Marco Polo season two last weekend btw, if anyone cares.

That is not an easy show to enjoy. It was... OK. I think.

The fact that ITV have picked up Lethal Weapon, doesn't fill me with confidence.

Snobby I know, but I'd be much more likely to give it a chance if BBC or 4 had gone for it.

Watched the first two....won't watch anymore...trying too hard with the 80s retro stuff and too reminiscent of E.T. but in a bad way. Poorly written with subplots that don't matter (the teen girl with the new boyfriend) and scenes that do not advance the story in any way (the flashbacks).

Not good.

1st episode I liked, great vibe. 2nd episode you start to see how threadbare it really is, how hackneyed all these themes are. But I'm sticking with it, what the hell. Good to see some nice normal middle class American kids on screen for a change.

I download and watched all 4 episodes, I like it and watched 2 eps at a time, and it seems to get better as the episodes go on. I don't think it is must watch tv but I have a crush on MEW so I look forward to watching more.

I like the musical recap.

I was expecting to like Vice Principals a lot, but many of the jokes this episode didn't land for me. I'll keep watching though since Goggins has been awesome in everything else I've seen him in. Well, not American Ultra, but no one could save that trash.

That was about as entertaining as watching a school shooting. At least now that the "plot" is established, maybe it will get better...

Queen of the South is a TV show on USA that is based on a telenovela in Mexico that was based on a novel called La Reina del Sur. It's about a woman's rise to be the biggest drug Queenpin in the United States.

I was interested in the show when I first heard about it a bunch of months ago, but completely forgot about it. I saw a brief ad for it during Mr. Robot, and found out that it had already aired 4 episodes. I caught up watching the first 4 On Demand. The Pilot alternates between being brutally telenovela and really intense. Those who watch Halt and Catch Fire would recognize this sort of mood swing in season 1, where the show would alternate between being really good and really bad depending on the scene. The Pilot had a ton of narration that was nearly unbearable. At about the 15 minute mark, I was growing tired of it, but at the 20 minute mark it hooks you in and pretty much doesn't let go from that point forward.

It's a pretty decent show, and if the subject matter has any interest for you, it's worth checking out. Episodes 2, 3, and 4 pretty much removed all telenovela aspects, and it plays more straightforward as a relatively intense drug cartel drama. The only telenovela aspect left is probably when she interacts with her young self. I don't think the show has had even an ounce of narration since the Pilot. If it has, I didn't notice it being intrusive. My major gripe with the show is that the music basically ruins all of the dramatic impact of the show. There are so many scenes that would play much more effectively without any music. Instead, it almost plays wall to wall like a kind of homage to Miami Vice.

Cliffs: Queen of the South is a decent USA show about the rise of a Mexican drug Queenpin. If you can get past the first half hour of the Pilot, it doesn't do anything else to push the viewer away in the second, third, or fourth episode. This is probably the second best USA show airing behind Mr. Robot, not that that's any great accomplishment.

Has "Six" premiered yet? I thought it was supposed to this week but haven't found it yet. It is supposed to be on History Channel right?

Thanks to any who provide information on this show.

I personally wish HULU released every episode at once or at least 2. Such a long way for just 30 minutes.

anyone made it through the Netflix original "Between".

Everyone over age 22 in some small town dies unexpectedly. All the kids left get quarantined.

I've tried watching twice. First time I gave up halfway through first episode. This time pushed through, but a few episodes later all of a sudden there's a tiger loose in the town for some reason and I'm noping on out of here again.

They gave it a second season so it can't be that awful - but I really can't find one redeeming aspect of this show. Child actors are like sounding out their lines off of cue cards bad. The teen actors are doing shakespeare. The storylines - did I mention there's a tiger?

For anybody who pushed through - how would you compare this show to Under the Dome? That's another show that somehow got renewed for several extra seasons, but I also peaced out after 2 episodes and never thought twice about going back. So, is this sort of like that?

Or does the show get better and I should stick with it?

(any other channel and I wouldnt care - but I like most other Netflix shows I've watched, so I'm trying to give this one every opportunity)

I love the countdown when the commercials end during Animal Kingdom. Super easy skip while watching on DVR.
