It's mediocre (much like the book). I've watched the first four episodes and have the rest taped, but not sure if I'll ever get around to watching them. There's nothing that bad about the show (acting is fine, dialogue is ok), it's just somewhat slow and not that exciting.

It's not intended to be one season, but no clue if it will be renewed.

+1 The show has some pretty obscure old documentaries that I've mostly not seen as its source material, but all the eps are still very good comedy writing and character perfromances by Armisen and Hader. E2 is probably the best place to start especially if you've seen/heard of the VICE Guide documentary show.

I'm avoiding it as well. Thought Sons S2 was good and S3 final but besides that not a fan. Before you know it each episode will be 90 minutes long.

I mean if you like it so far, just continue and stop if you really can't stand it anymore. I noticed a strong drop off too, but I still enjoyed the show enough to keep on watching.

The last 2 seasons are terrible to say the least, but before that I think it's fine.

Pretty much as soon as you here the word "Medellin". Not really but as soon as season 3 is over I would instaquit. Not even watch the first episode of season 4.
