Jane the Virgin seems to be shaping up as the next Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a show with a WTF name that - lo and behold - is quite good in the eyes of most. And considering that BTVS had a first season that most regard as its comparative worst, we'll have to see where JTV goes from here.

the lead in JTV is great. but i don't remember anyone else being a particularly good actor. i remember her two love interests being bad actors. the evil blonde woman might be alright. she certainly is hot.

comparing it to buffy the vampire slayer is way off. buffy had about a million things going for it that jane doesn't.

there is a new show that does compare to buffy, that show is izombie.

A good amount of the acting in JTV is comedic, and those actors kill it there. Dramatically, everyone has proven themselves quite well.

I still think the rafael actor is very bad. He's complete cringe and never in a comedic way.

The rest of the cast is great

Its a CW show, so I think its required that pretty much every cast member doubles as a model. I think JTV's father does a great job. Rafael is a bit weak as an actor, but not enough to detract from his scenes. Jane is so great she makes up for a lot of the other actors' weaknesses. And Petra is absurdly hot.

Oh yeah, Rafael. Yeah, he's not very good. He's capable, but barely.

I'm only on ep 3 catching up since getting back from my hol but I've been enjoying izombie considerably more than I expected to.

Rafael's ****ty acting goes pretty good with his character though, i think we are supposed to somewhat dislike him and hope that she goes to live by herself or back to Micheal.

jane's dad is amazing.. every corny line is hilarious

We should care about bruce jenner as much as we care about what brand of beans a random irish man is going to be eating tomorrow morning

Eye Candy is done.

I watched all but the last 3 and still have them on the DVR.
I guess I will finish them at some point.

I am sorry to see Sirens get cancelled. It wasn't great but better than some shows that are still going.

Anyone watch Weird Loners? So far underwhelming and silly, but makes me laugh just enough to keep tuning in next week.

Also finished 1st season of X Company, a WW2 team spy drama centering around a man with somewhat autistic "rain man" like abilities. It improved as the season went on. I was surprised at some of the very dark moments that occurred. Will watch if renewed.

I thought the first episode had a lot of promise, but the rest haven't been that great. Still watchable, but not as cohesive. And Becki Newton is hot as hell!!

I just watched this, it was kinda fun. Very good-spirited. Nice old-young mentor-protege thing. The Blackfish whale attack in the store made me laugh.

It's kinda brilliant actually. That half-******ed guy giving mouth-to-mouth to Mr. White and the hair blowing through the bullet hole in his head is about as hard as I've laughed in quite awhile.
