Season 1 dramas I watched that didn't: Terriers and Rubicon.

So that's not too bad I guess, it sucks that Terriers got bumped obv, but the renewals outnumber cancellations 2:1 so I can't really say it was a bad year for renewals.

I also downloaded Spartacus on a friend's rec., haven't watched it yet, but it got renewed fwiw.

I think he is talking about dramas on the big 3

oh fair enough.

I think Hawaii 5-0 is a 2010 new network drama that's been a hit, haven't seen it though.

Just caught up with the first 2 episodes of the US Skins and not really sure what to make of it. The first episode was almost unbearable but the second wasn't too bad.

The fifth season of the UK version comes out later this week, too!

Southland has been absolutely fantastic this season and I'm shocked there isn't a thread...especially after what went down last night.

Is Southland strictly self-contained episodes, or is it a continuing storyline?

Continuing, but there aren't really many episodes overall even though this is listed as its 3rd season. It started on NBC and was a victim of the Leno move to 10p as there is no way it could air at anytime other than 10. TNT bought the rest of the first season and aired it and these are the first 10 episodes bought by and produced for TNT. It seems to work a little better there, but if the show were on AMC or HBO, it would be huge.

Just watched the first episode.

It seems they always have the same type of characters through each generation and the girl playing the "Jal" type character even looks like her!

It was pretty good, though. Too early to tell how good it's going to be but it's miles ahead of the US version already.

Has Perfect Couples gotten any better? Pilot was terribad, and feel like I should give it another shot with Olivia Munn/Waitress from IASIP.

I thought the same thing and decided to give it another chance...couldn't get through the intro.

Re: Skins

After watching every episode of UK skins in last 3 days while grinding MTTs. Like the US Skins, although the first episode was almost exactly the same thing, the writers said it will diverge from UK skins over time.

Also im guessing the Freddie/Cook storyline from Season 4 of Skins UK will be wrapped up in the movie?

The first ep of season 5 was off to a fairly slow start but def got better.

Rankings of Hotness:
Effy
Tea
Michelle UK
naomi(at some times, other she looks horrible)
Michelle US
emily

Not rating the rest and those from S5

Has Outsourced grown on anyone? It's not great by any means, but after an awesome night of Community, Office, P&R, 30 Rock, it's a good calming ending. Some funny parts and a decent storyline. It's like the cool down and stretch after a good workout.

Actually outsourced has declined greatly for me. It's probably going to get bumped off my regular viewing. I really enjoyed the first few episodes. However as it stretches further and further away from the movie (adjusting to/accepting Indian culture) and relationships to just trying to have a few jokes without anything of particular interest happening.

Outsourced has definitely grown on me. At first I was just watching it On Demand cause it was there and now I kind of look forward to watching it every week.

I did however, watch the first episode of Perfect Couples last week and thought it was terrible.

This show isn't good, and a few lines/situations are absolutley cringe inducing. That said I got a couple good laughs from last nights ep. The Waitress is really bad though, really really bad. I watched the first 4 or 5 eps of Outsourced (why, I do not know) and hated it.

I gave it a slightly positive review after the Pilot, thinking it could be ok. Last night was pretty bad though, although it has a few good one liners here and there. Probably give it at least a few more episodes to see if it finds its voice.

I don't really like Outsourced and don't watch it Thursday nights, but usually save it to watch while I am having lunch on Friday. It has its moments I guess.

I think Outsourced just has a good mix/blend of characters. Everybody is really friendly and helps the others outs.

And it doesn't hurt that it has the second hottest Indian chick on TV, only behind the Royal Pains chick

Well, I thought that was a given, so I failed to mention it. Pippa Black is pretty slammin' too.

Awesome, I really liked Sunset Strip and this should be way better.

The Aussie chick and the Drew Carey guy are terrible characters for me. I like all the Indian characters and the young American lead is OK. I DVR it and watch it whenever. The show isn't great but I've got 22 minutes a week I can give to it.

Has anyone watched Being Human on Syfy? It just premiered this month and is based on a UK show. I dvr'd the first two episodes on a whim and watched them yesterday and quite enjoyed the show.

Just watched the beaver-centric episode and it was pretty hilarious.

Decent show at its best but there's been some awful episodes, too.
