Then tomorrow night is season 4 of "The Sinner" on USA. Wow USA is jamming.
I'm a fan of Child's Play but I didn't watch the recent films because they seemed a bit. Loved 1-3 though and even if the show is also silly, I think I would mind it less in a show format. Do you need to have seen the recent movies for the show? I know the show is a continuation of the story and takes place after the most recent film, I'm mainly wondering how damaging it is to not watch those movies first.

Did The Sinner get better? I watched S1 recently and thought it was pretty terrible.

I don't think I have seen the latest movie. I doubt it matters, You know what Chucky is about and that is all that matters.

The truth is I get excited about each new season but am usually disappointed.

Only Murders
Spoiler:
Satisfying ending, good season and a good setup for the next one. Can't ask for much more

Haven't watched Only Murders yet, but I switched my suspect and now I think it's not a main character but someone they showed late. We'll see if I'm right.

In other news I did a search on limited series I'd never seen that are supposed to be great, and wow I came up with a list of about 15?

Right now we're doing this, it's goooood. I'll share my list as I vet them.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3021686/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Proper spy show

I'd love to see your list. I thought about making a thread for ranking everyone's Top 5 or Top 10. Limited series or shows where each season is stand alone, like True Detective or Fargo.

Some of them:

oldschool: Lonesome Dove, Shogun, Roots, the Thorn Birds, The Stand (1994)

newer: Angels in America, John Adams, 11-22-63, An Honorable Woman

We're in the middle of Scenes from a Marriage and Feud. Still deciding, probably not going to be big winners for this sub.

Didn't love the end, but the rest of the episode was enjoyable. Steve Martin was really criminally underused in the 2000's. My hunch is he should have done TV 15 years soon and probably refused.

you is trash, but i like it! just finished season 3. it was absurd, just totally unrealistic and silly, but it was fun.

I am in the mid of se3 and feel the same, reminds of a mashup between dexter and barry.

Giving up on Foundation (and Apple TV+) after ep 6. Once again, too little happens to justify the run length. Events on Terminus build to action, only for the action scenes to be rudimentary. The politicking was drawn out and dull. The dialogue's not much cop either, stilted and full of lines that no-one in real life says.

Watched a couple of episodes of Mythic Quest to see if that justified maintaining the Apple TV+ subscription. It's utterly unfunny ****.

Invasion. Nothing has happened in the first 3 episodes but for some reason I don't hate it.

My wife loves that show. We are cancelling Apple TV+ too once that show is over.

Same for me. I like the "something weird is happening while normal life goes on" intrigues me.

As opposed to Foundation where I watched the first episode and found no compelling reason to continue.

Foundation was one of the worst openings to a hyped big-budget show I can remember, just laughably bad, total mess.

See was hard to watch as well but I could imagine buying into the premise and thinking it was cool I guess. If I were a lot younger and a little dumber.

Lol while I'm trashing Apple shows, I don't really like Ted Lasso much either.

I do like that Apple only costs $5 a month.

I’ve watched like 1.4 episodes of Foundation. Is it even worth me bothering to continue?

Wasn’t a fan of Ted after finishing s1 either. I thought most of the characters were cringe.

I got through all of morning show, meh.

Mythic quest has the same issue as APBio and the Mick. They basically just play Mac and Cricket.

I did like Ted Lasso but its pretty sad that there isn't even $5 worth of content on there.

Probably not it's been trending down a lot for me the past few episodes. The slow pacing is such a frustrating issue, the show would be much better served being released all at once. I'm still going to finish the season but I'm starting to get more pessimistic as it goes on.
