We lasted 5 minutes and stopped E1 of S3 of Master of None. It doesn't get better, right?

Mare had a ton of legitimately great characters with great acting across the board, but my favorite character as a bitchy critic was Dylan's friend

Spoiler:
who never was introduced or given a backstory, and was just like, totally down to be an accomplice in crimes he had nothing to do with and it actually turns out Dylan didn't do either but it sure seemed like he did at the time.

Dylan seemed like he was gonna murder the blonde girl! For nothing! He legitimately was just driving around to chill out the night of the murder and was just burning the diaries out of respect for his ex-gf, but did the guy with the Charger know that? "hey bro can you give me a ride? I need to mislead the audience. Don't ask any questions if I make weird cryptic threats"

my favorite part of mare was guy pearce's character

Spoiler:
mainly because when a well known actor/actress is cast in a role 95%+ of the time that character has a significant role. I thought for sometime Guy was either the killer or the kidnapper. if a lesser known actor plays that role, the thought never crosses my head. Was probably my fav part about the show

also agree with Fly, many plot holes that make no sense in retrospect and are just added by writers to through the viewer off. Somewhat lazy iMO

im trying to think of a tv show that portrays cops as bad guys, like they are in real life.

i can't think of any

are the shield and the wire as close as tv comes?

Banshee has some moments that are so bad, that I may rank it top 20 all time. Non-stop action and suspense.

You need to go read through the old season threads. It had a pretty big following on here.

In The Wire, Bunny Colvin is a good guy. His quote in s3 sums up one thing wrong in our society: "The war on drugs ruined this job."

The rest of the characters are typically flawed people with different levels to "good" and "bad".

People who think "All x are good/bad" are one of the causes of our problems.

Wokists and rightists are extremists and don’t do nuance

They would rather spend their time looking for reasons to be appalled and offended

I always thought Southland was an excellent representation of cops as normal flawed human beings. There were some good cops but some bad ones also (the Dewey character). Highly underrated show.

Just discovered Luther on STARZ

Very enjoyable thus far, Idris Elba has the It factor (should be the next 007 IMO)

He would have made a perfect Bond, unfortunately might be a bit old now.

Luther is really good - lots of episodes are filmed where i grew up.

As for Bond - i do not think a black guy should ever be "bond", the same way i don't think a white guy should ever be "Shaft" while Idris is a good actor i think changing a characters race just to suit equal ops is a silly.

What about a woman bond 007 is that ok ?

or a remake of the lone ranger and make tonto Chinese ?

Personally I'm fine with a non-white guy (if they're good, obviously), but not a women.

lol james bond is completely made up. who cares what he or she looks like? i mean obviously you two care a lot about what james bond, fictional spy for the empire, looks like

you probably wouldn't care if he was 5'10" or 6'3"

M, Q, or whatever was changed from male to female, iirc, and hopefully you didn't care about that.

james bond is stupid anyway and should be ignored

I read the one where Bond plays baccarat not too long ago. Confirmed overrated and is a quick read written for dopes.

lol u wot m8

M and Q are job titles not particular individuals so they can change and will change

007 is James Bond - can't be Gemma Bond

not sure did you comment just to see your own words on your screen or what.

so you think james bond is immortal and ageless? he was like 35 in like 1960. and he is also 35 in 2020?

so james bond is either different people, or he is ageless

I can’t believe I’m saying this…but Filthy has the right side of this. Who gives a flying **** of Bond is black.

Think the ship has sailed for Idris tho. Maybe too late for Tom Hardy as well
