if you're desperate to escape your miserable existence, this show will do the trick. but it's pretty meh. some nice acting from the leads. chris evans is solid, and fairly compelling. his wife, the downton abby chick is too, but her swaying her head to the side in despair constantly starts to seem a little silly.

some decent acting from all the kids, and none of them are annoying. so that's a nice change!

if you like the murder mystery genre, you'll probably like it
Slightly biased because I read the book and liked it. Saw the ads and saw the kid lead was going to be Bill from IT and thought it was perfect, he's going to be a good actor as he grows up (if he wants), atleast in rolls like this. The mom is a little annoying, but I liked it so far. Looking forward to the last couple episodes

Like filthy said though, there's nothing great about it, but nothing bad, either.

I have always seen "The Good Wife" got good reviews everywhere. Hulu and Prime have all 156 episodes. I just watched the 1st 9 episodes. I am impressed. I love a good lawyer show and this qualifies.

You mean "Rake" with Greg Kinnear?

Yea that made it 13 episodes.

If you want Comedy Legal then "The Grinder".

Got a bit out there at the end of the run, but thought it was decent enough.

Spin off 'The Good Fight', is good. Definitely a bit out there though.

Caught up with "Gangs of London" during the week, didn't get properly into it straight away but perceived and thought it was great! Found the acting of Joe Cole (Main Character and recently in Peaky Blinders) was a bit bland. Enough good supporting roles and exciting ultra violent scenes to make it well worth watching though. It's on Sky Atlantic/Cinemax, and you'll probably want to use subtitles for all my American friends.

I see good reviews for that and wanted to watch but I am in US. Will have to wait for Netflix, etc. to pick it up.

I liked Homecoming S1 more than most posters ITT, but not sure if I should waste my time with S2 or not. S1 was 98% on RT but S2 is at only 48% with 25 reviews.

So, is Linda Belcher a top 5 all-time TV character or just a top 10?

damn, rake is a great show. i got through season one(8 episodes) in just a couple days, and i been having trouble watching shows lately.

it's not that old, but still ahead of it's time. it's like maybe 10 years old or so, and absolutely holds up against today's shows. and surprising that it's australian. they usually don't make that great of shows. but the acting and the writing are really top notch. even the guest stars with tiny parts really do a great job of acting.

one thing i don't like is the main character seems to be a vessel for a lot of the writer's issues. and it doesn't seem like an artistic catharsis. it just seems petty

anytime she's on screen I am in utter delight...and the fact that she is voiced by a man makes her even more special somehow.

I love that the creators heard John Robert's impression of his mom and said "oh, come be on our show and do exactly that." Its a glorious mom voice.

Saw that "E" is running a marathon of the show "Las Vegas" from like 16 years ago. I saw them all back then but watching it again, I realize how great a show it was.

Las Vegas, Casinos, Gambling, Crime, Hot women, and throw in a bunch of bands and James Caan. lol

Monday morning around 3am PST a 20 episode run starts in a row.
