Netflix: The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann

The critics are pretty bad, but since i'm a crime documentaries junkie I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. I just finished the first episode (first of eight) and am feeling like it was 20 mins worth of contents, in a 60 mins episode.

Did some of you watch the whole thing and actually found it interesting ?

I watched the whole thing and found it interesting and frustrating (because she isn't found, we don't know what happened and it doesn't appear we ever will) but I'm a crime junkie too

I have not watched it but I hate shows where they don't catch the guy at the end. An example is the show disappeared ID TV, its always still an open case at the end. That sucks.

I like to see how they caught them, why and how he did it and what sentence he got.

I'm the same way and can't watch Disappeared for the same reason

and then I think, what a schmuck I am and wonder how the families feel who never find out what happened to their loved ones, it must be excruciating

Watched it all. Found it interesting (especially the segment with the dogs) but it could definitely have been condensed.

I did watch that but Robert Stack made it worthwhile.

The last few episodes of Better Things have been pretty good. Its generally a pretty decent show. The kids are all weird but that is standard.

FXX pushed the show pretty hard during Youre the Worst but I havent gotten around to it even though I really enjoy the lead actress. Will have to add it to my "watch soon" list

I watched all but the last episode. It's nothing new if you followed the case as it was going on. It really slows up at the end to the point where it wasn't interesting enough to me to finish.

I've only seen small bits and pieces, but the fat guy at the end of the T20 Solos episode last week had an incredible tone.

If I'm only going to watch/listen to a few people, who should I be paying attention to?

Im just through auditions, the fat guy who has the stomach surgery and almost died and sang the Sam Smith song had an incredible voice.

After Life is one of the best recent shows. Very dark, very funny and with a lot of heart.

I suspect that is very much a minority opinion

Just watched S1 for the first time last month as well. It's just fantastic. Al is a GOAT-level character.

Any recommendations for Knightfall on the History Channel? Is it as good as Vikings?

Lucky. Honestly, it probably is just as good or better on rewatch because the dialog is A+ but complicated. It's my #2 GOAT behind The Wire.
