sounds like a similar ending to the Sopranos. shows how lame that show was, too.

yeah, they're quite similar and trying to do the same thing.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder

to me, that show was art. i totally respect differences of opinion. most good art is controversial.

a lot of art to me is total ****. but these characters and this story touch me. their misfit and failures, and their hope for redemption.

Just out on Amazon, Electric Dreams has some decent episodes so far but I mostly just get excited at how they got high profile actors but then disappointed by how wasted they all are. The episode with the train is very strong but the rest I've seen so far are all around the level of what would be the worst episode of a given season of Black Mirror.

Did no one else watch S2 of Search Party? S1 was kind of uneven, but I thought S2 was very strong, straddling the line between satire and suspense and with solid performances. Worth watching if you saw season 1, or you can binge both seasons in a weekend. I had it at #3 on my top 10 ballot.

Yeah I fell asleep halfway through the Bryan Cranston episode.

I saw both and liked them. I think I liked S1 better since it was fresh & unusual, S2 seems to be going down more typical paths but of course I'll keep watching to see what happens

I just watched the pilot of The Chi and I liked it quite a bit. Has potential to be a very good show.

Watched the first two episodes of Ozarks, was pleasantly surprised. Always kind of liked Jason Bateman as an actor and I'm not even sure why. I guess I like understated. Seems like it will be the type of show that is tough to continue being good but I'll keep watching for now.

That episode was remarkably bad because it had time for the worldbuilding scene at a bizarre underground sex club but didn't have time to explain the core ****ing premise(the aliens are like, ethereal spirits who can possess people, but the possessed versions of people are just like, the same dude? Except slightly nicer? I don't get it) until AFTER THE TWIST HAS HAPPENED.

Suits has subtly transitioned into a comedy, I'm up to season 5 and and while I still love the show, I'm finding myself enjoying it more as a comedy than a drama. The catch phrases, acting and plot absurdity has me in stitches.

SUITS 101: How to give to another person my papers:

Step 1 throw them on their desk.

Step 2 If you're returning the persons papers back, you throw them on their desk and say this is bull****!

I thought The End of the ****ing World was outstanding. It's an acquired taste and imo if you didn't enjoy the first episode you wouldn't enjoy the season. Not surprised some of you didn't like it especially fossils like Dominic. But I thought it was outstanding.

Spoiler:
Talk of a season two, which I feel would be a mistake.

I absolutely loved it. So much so that I still think about it quite a bit. Long after I watched it.

LOL seriously? Because I didn't like it, I'm a fossil? Can you point to other instances when I don't like something because it's too edgy or new and I just don't get it? Bring back Cosby and Lawrence Welk, dammit!

What a crappy comment.

Season 2 might be crap compared to season 1 but if that kid is playing the same character... I mean I could watch that no matter how bad it was

Dominic old? Not even close. He's middle aged and a youngster compared to me. (and I love modern, edgy stuff).

You must be like 70.

It's really cool not knowing the nationality, race, age, gender of posters. OK gender is almost always a guy on here but still. I just happened to know that Dominic is prehistoric but the anonymity stops me making a lot of stereotypes. Well I actually assuming everyone is a 30 ± 5 yr old N. American male but it's always great to see someone recollecting when Armstrong landed on the moon etc.

He was great but he'll be great in other stuff and

Spoiler:
If they're going to do another season it should have the girl only.
But I think it was a very specific Catcher-In-The-Ryesque road trip/romance featuring the two characters on the lam and discovering their feelings for each other. How do you recreate that for season two? Have "the kid" escape from jail with the help of the girl & get tracked by the same two coppers? That's about all I can think of and maybe could work?

Age you know, if the poster has their DoB in their account. I'm 66. Don't rush me getting to 70.

And I remember tracking John Glenn orbiting the earth when in 5th grade.
