id be shocked if it didn't end up as one of the best seasons of T.V of the year.
just finished The Night Of and thought it was terrific

The first half of S3 really was not that good, bit boring at times. Series as a whole is top 3 all time for me.
I tried to make it through first 3 episodes and never did. Thought it was awful but everyone said it was good and I stuck it out which was a good decision. Super solid

I've never watched Oz before. Is it worth a watch and do you think it will have held up decently? I watched the first couple of episodes long ago, but got distracted by something else.

Most people say it hasn't held up. I watched it when it originally aired and loved it, but I can understand how it would be underwhelming compared with most top level recent shows.

OTOH, it took me years before I could see J. K. Simmons in something and not think "Sadistic Nazi bastard."

Oz was ridiculously fast paced. There were lots of characters who were introduced and had their character arc end within fifteen minutes.

Also, the show slid towards unrealistic storylines in later seasons.

Otherwise, it was great.

Someone should make a thread for Gomorrah. Season 3 just started, it's on HBO. I would make one myself but my wrist is fk'd and I'm typing one-handed already. It's like a mix of The Wire and Game of Thrones, and the subject matter is the Camorra (google is your friend). Very violent and an unstoppable binge.

Future Man is entertaining. I really like the guy who plays Wolf. He's great.

It looks like it's on Sundance, not HBO.

I'm halfway thru season 2 of Bron/Broen, this is very good. I think it's even better than s1 which I also liked. The interplay between Saga and Martin is really top-notch character stuff.

Seth Meyers is the best late night host going right now. Seth>Colbert>Conan>Kimmel>Unwatchable other ****.

Gervais is complete garbage. I wonder what his thoughts on religion are? Just like I wonder if Amy Schumer will mention ****ing somebody in an interview.

Extras was great to me when it was first released, now I can't stand the sound of Gervais voice.

Spoiler:
I'm an atheist too bro, but it doesn't have have to come up in every convo.

when he introduces the president of the hollywood foreign press, he says... "golden globes doesn't have an in memorium section to get you all depressed. instead we have the president of the hollywood foreign press come out and say a few words"

I absolutely loved Oz when it first came out. I haven't rewatched it since so I am not sure how it holds up now but considering how much I liked it the first time around I'd definitely recommend it.

Gervais is so edgy and provocative.

Binged Search Party after I saw Stephen King tweet about it - solid dark hipster comedy that picked up speed as it ended.

Godless mini-series on Netflix was good too

Brian Regan's comedy show (2017) was pretty solid. It's clean humor, but I still enjoyed it throughout.
