So you want TV networks to throw away money just because we like a show? This was a totally standard cancellation based on ratings. We loved it, I think FOX loved it, but there was nothing they could do.

Is this a strange way of insulting the American version? The American version was excellent, too, and its cancellation was a far worse move than The Grinder.

That's not how it works. The show started out low, and stayed low. FOX ordered an initial 13, and then they gave it a full season run despite it having terrible ratings out of the gate. They gave it every chance to succeed, but it couldn't. We were all very happy it got a full season, because it really didn't deserve one. Audience almost always erodes from season 1 to season 2. If you start at a low number, it's just gonna go lower except in uncommon situations. I think Lethal Weapon could provide a comedy lead in for FOX next year, but that's next year. All their comedies on weekdays (all 2 of them) are dying in the ratings.
