Me like 100 times in episode 1

I think they nailed it. I've played all the games and watched like 1000 hours of fallout lore videos so you could say I'm something of an expert myself. Super excited to binge this

Are we supposed to watch the stuff after the credits start, or are those spoilies?

3 eps in to fallout and I'm done. All the storylines are boring. The actors and their characters are super boring outside of goggins and the girl, but again their story line is boring too.

I thought Fallout was great. A bit to light on the present story sometimes, but the characters, worldbuilding and flashbacks were very good imo.
Walton Goggins gets alot to work with and is the obvious stand out, as in any show he's in. Can't wait for S2.

Curious if you're a fan of the game/existing story, or went into that cold

8.5/10 for me on Fallout. Not perfect, but a damn good adaptation. The gore, the overall serious tone with absurd levity, the philosophy of the world, the setting, the costume, the factions... they nailed it.

I thought they left the first season off in a perfect place with so much room to grow. The last episode was probably my favorite of the season. I would assume its basically guaranteed a season 2 already.

They renewed it before the first episode even aired!

Anyone watching Sugar with Colin Farrell on Apple TV? There is supposed to be
Spoiler:
a big twist thats insane/absurd halfway the show. Some reviewers seem to love it, and some seem to hate it.
So im very intrigued.

I thought the first episode of the 3 currently out was great. Excited for more.

Seen all 3 that have released and am thoroughly enjoying it. I figured there would be something like your spoiler but didn’t think it would be so soon. Glad to know!

I just finished episode 5, holy.

I can hardly fault a single thing in the show. Every episode at least once is a visual moment where I just hold my breath it's so epic.

watched pilot last night

really don't like how they're handling it

Spoiler:
goggins doesn't loot the corpses - goes out for the cool hero exit when in reality he has nothing on him right now and it would have been a great callback to the video games

the vault:

they don't do nearly enough the vaults and raiders

how is it possible that another vault they were physically connected to wouldn't have more robust communications and more regular interactions and trades?

like i get wanting to keep them separated to keep things like crop blight and disease contained during breakouts as well as keep their own autonomy, but as they are literally connected, they certainly should be communicating often enough that if the neighboring vault had collapsed then people

like are you telling me those raiders gained access to 32, stayed there for months just to communicate with 33 and wait until 33 had a marriage proposal - something which clearly doesn't happen very frequently and then all they do is kill a bunch of people what's clearly a poorly planned out and executed situation, take a few hostages (which they didn't need to do, they already were in control and didn't need to negotiate anything) ask the leader to choose the hostages or his daughter, but then he seems to choose his daughter but then the hostages are let go anyway

then they just take the dad and set off a bomb for reasons?

and then when they have follow up scenes showing the cleanup and aftermath, they don't even address the bomb or even try to explain what happened

it makes zero sense for the raiders to invest that much time and risk their own lives just to get a nice meal and then leave, they could have had the nice meal all the same without the murder

and they make a point that the vault life is so much better than life up above, but then decide to leave, importantly, leave empty handed, they are not carting out goods and food with them, they are leaving without each carrying bags nor backpacks

so it's clearly all about capturing the dad and there's clearly some backstory there, but no way you're telling me a group of surface people go through all that effort, lose the lives of several of their colleagues to do so, and then only take the dad when they were literally in a position to take everything they wanted, they could have even taken over the entire vault

just makes no sense and it's stupid

but i did like

Spoiler:
brotherhood stuff is great, i like how we don't know for certain whether he sabotaged his friend (but likely it was him) and just everything about them makes sense and is presented reasonably

however, based on the pilot, it's quite clear no matter how little things of interest happen or how cheesy or bad i gets, like halo, I'm 100% stuck and will be along for the entire ride
