Game of Thrones Bookreader Thread: ***TV SPOILERS ITT*** - Page 9

GRRM created some amazing characters and an interesting world. And some amazing scenes. But he has largely farted around for the last 1,000 pages so I'm not too worried that the TV guys could take it from here and do something as interesting as what he's planning

Exactly. I was really underwhelmed with A Dance with Dragons. I think he needs a good editor.

I wonder to what degree. I'd guess along the lines of "final book comes down to Dany winning the Iron Throne after her dragons successfully defeat the others to save Westeros," and maybe a list of characters still alive by the end of the series.

dany has been the best part of the series. her big scenes have all been amazingly well done.

I assume this is based on the books rather than the tv show, since we haven't seen Oberyn yet in the show right?

oh if its bookreaders then dany makes no sense and oberyn does. of course oberyn is incredibly popular he just does his badassery stuff then dies. he isnt around long enough for anyone to dislike him.

John Snow being so popular makes no sense to me for TV watchers or book readers. He's so bleh in the show and I usually found his chapters to be a bit of a chore in the books.

Agree about ADWD, his chapters were the best part of that book.

Also wtf is with no Stannis or Davos poster?!?! Tormund, Martell, Marge, Mel, and Daaarrio, but no Stannis? I really hope that's not due to lack of Stannis and Davos, they are two of my favorite character adaptations.
