You could argue that anyone originally supporting Renly was not acting "lawfully". At best, they supported him because they thought he would be the best king (or in Brienne's case, because she was in love with him), not because they thought he had any legal right to it.
Barristan is a better example of lawful good, because you do observe him place his duty above what he things will achieve the most beneficial end (e.g. in his defense of King Aerys). And in his final chapters, you see him internally wrestling with how he can technically conform to his duty while still doing what he perceives is right. He is finally willing to turn against Hizdahr, despite being Queensguard and Hizdahr being the King, because the duty of the Queensguard with respect to the Queen's spouse was by tradition unclear unless the Queen has specifically charged him with protecting her husband.
