no girl, that's not you. You're going to be lord of a holdfast -- Winterfell -- and marry your blacksmith dude and rule the North as the Stark in Winterfell.

Rickon is on some barbarian island in the island, hes not dead.

I really want tyrion to kill Cersei.

I think tyrion rules casterly rock at the end but no shot at the iron throne.

Jaime is the perfect candidate to be king. He grew up under Tywin, was kingsguard for both Aerys and Robert. He knows the cost of war and it would be bittersweet for him because he has never wanted to rule.

Agreed that Tyrion will rule Casterly Rock, it's inevitable after Tywin's constant insistence that he won't.

I don't think the Iron Throne will exist at the end of the series. I think the Seven Kingdoms will become Seven Kingdoms. Dany and the throne probably perish together. The other possibility is that Jon ends up ruling. I think that concludes the list of possibilities.

So we have seven kings

Tyrion and Sanza rule the Westerlands
Edmure and Hot Frey Girl rule the Riverlands
Robin rules the Eyrie
Who Cares rules in Dorne
Arya and Ser Gendry rule the North
Loras and Lady Beard rule in Rose place
Stormlands, uh, everyone is super dead, is that one acknowledged bastard that what's his name was protecting from Mel still alive? Maybe Jon Connington does like a juice cleanse and gets rid of his greyscale and takes over? idk.

Which is exactly why he will,

Ned didn't want to be hand of the king
Jon didn't ask to be lord commander
Jon didn't ask to be King of the north

One of the last episodes Jon said something along the lines of "how many people live there? a million? why would anyone want to live there". To me thats another example of the shows slap you in the face "subtle" clues.

It's kind of a mind**** actually when you start really thinking about it. As someone said earlier its very unlikely Daenerys lives but nicely gives the throne to Jon. But also if she is destined to die, she'd have to of given birth first, because the show made it so ridiculously clear she's going get pregnant, and I after her losing her first child in S1, I can't imagine the show would have her lose another one, especially when its Jon's too.

yeah certainly going FULL with the irony of Jon being King, Arya being the Lady of Storm's End, etc (Theon ruling the II?) is certainly within the realm of possibilities

Yeah it's hard to say, the show may end differently to the books. I think Dany giving birth then dying will happen in the show. In the books, who knows if she'll even get pregnant? There are hints that she will:

Quote:
"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur. "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he [Khal Drogo] will return, and not before."
Most of these conditions are met (the "sun" is Quentyn, the sea is the Dothraki Sea and the mountains are probably the collapsed pyramids of Meereen). Whether her bearing a child is metaphorical or not it's hard to say. The most straightforward interpretation is that Dany will bear a son and name him Drogo.

Her final chapter ends with her having her period for the first time since giving birth, so seems pretty likely to me.

Edit: well after googling to double check looks like some think she has the pale mares but that doesnt seem likely to me.

Been covered ITT, but I was bored by AFFC 1st read-through and absolutely loved it 2nd read-through. It seriously improves when you go in knowing the pace it's going to move at. ADWD did not get nearly the same bump though.

Discussion is taking place in the no bookreaders thread, there's no longer any point making the distinction since we're so far out of book territory now that nothing from the books has any relevance.
