now that was a dope episode, easily the best of the season and it renewed my excitement for next season

wish they could all be this good, amazing score should def not be overlooked

Great fun episode but once again filled with some nonsense.

- Sansa as predicted had nothing but a nonsense answer to explain her Vale plotting
- I have no idea what went on in the King in the North / no it should be you / LF storyline
- stealing the pie plotline was a huge square peg in round hole...the whole idea is they are supposed to eat it!!
- I don't understand the point of the Lannisters/ Frey feast scene
- Cersei blowing up the Sept was awesome , Tommen dying awesome , but the High Sparrow turning into a doofus seemed out of character
- lol Varys being in Dorne and Mereen in the same episode, teleportation hits a new high
- Margeary and Loras "you need to stay strong" seems like a waste now, I guess the payoff is QOT living but is that really revenge against the Faith?
- TOJ payoff is weird, I guess they are saving some for GRRM? Why only go 90% of the way there?

I assume Jon is going to ally with Cersei/Jaime to fight Dany, right? I don't see any other possible opposition to her and they have to have some conflict before the final battle.

amazing episode 98% of the way through. first 15 mins the best opener in the shows history imo.

final scene was a huge dissapointment though, cant believe we didnt see white walkers one more time.

It's to show Jaime is slowly questioning his feelings for Cersei. It's basically a stone lock he's going to kill her to save the realm and allow everyone to group up to fight in the end.

yea great ep, really builds into next season so well. Obviously noticed Varys' quick movements but o well was able to over look that.

Earlier in this thread, posters pointed out great dialogue scenes from the first season. Specifically, Tywin talking with Jamie while Tywin skins a stag. Also, there was King Robert's discussion with Cersei where she says their marriage is all that holds the realm together.

One of the reasons the season 6 finale was great was because it had similar scenes- just two people talking in an otherwise quiet environment. The best was Dany and Tyrion prior to the fleet leaving for Westeros. But, I thought the Jon-Sansa, Sansa-Littlefinger, and Jamie-Walder Frey scenes were strong as well.

So right now Dany easily wafflecrushes everything, I expect Eurons fleet to fight their fleet in some huge battle where she loses some/most of her ships which weakens her enough for it to be interesting.

So R+ L =J is basically true.

But if you can't prove J is Targaryen what good does it do him?
