i guess its called teaser and not trailer.
trailer for season 6 isnt out yet. sadly.
the teaser left my jimmies very non-rustled, i have to agree on that.
but the teaser is very super creepy. i like that.

my jimmies are very super rustled for the real trailer. i hope it gets released soon.

I believe he was in the show, but wasn't where they left off in the books. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I actually think it's smart, and personally like that they didn't tease anything new. But that aside, yeah that trailer sucked.

Also, while it's not explicitly spelled out it's implied that Melisandre's leeches aren't actually the magical cause of the deaths of the 3 kings. Actually, Melisandre "saw in the fire" that those 3 kings would die and then made up the leech thing to make herself seem more powerful to Stannis.

Depends. How much time you looking to invest?

Wheel of Time is faster paced initially, but there are 14 books in the series, and it gets bogged down in the middle. It follows multiple characters where as Kingkiller Chronicles only follows one.

Kingkiller Chronicles is only 2 books in, and there's been a long wait for the third, but should be out in the next year or two. It is fantastically written, but second book gets stuck overlong in a few detours.

Edit: Despite its flaws, I would hate to have never read Wheel of Time. (If that makes sense.)

Was this really insinuated by the show or was it more of a fan theory to explain the fact that Balon isn't dead yet in the show? Theon lost his dick in the books too btw ...

I'm expecting Balon is going to be reintorduced and then get killed in the first few episodes of the upcoming season to set up Euron + Iron Islands plot line from AFFC.

I thought the whole Euron/Victuron/kingsmoot plot was getting scrapped for the show? I was thinking maybe they were going to kill Balon and bring up the leeches again to emphasize that Rhllor was legit before Melisandra resurrects Jon Snow.

Did anyone itt not like EOTW? I read it a year or two ago and just couldn't get into it - since the first couple of books were supposed to be much better than the middle ones, I decided not to read past the first one.

Felt a little too "good guys against the big evil bad guy," to borrow GRRM's description of some fantasy.
